Use baking soda on ur scalp..mix with some water.. use warm water after washing ur scalp

Then use an apple cider vinegar rinse.. after that use cool water

Seems you have dry (dehydrated) scalp.

My advice and suggestion:

Don't wash you hair on days without using wax/styling product. Instead rinse you hair/head thoroughly with warm water at the start of shower, then cold water towards the end of shower. Make sure u really wet your scalp. Then let you hair airdry by itself.

You can also make yourself sweat more so that your scalp will generate more sebum and moisture.

Drink more water. REDUCE oily foods.

On days that you do shampoo your hair, make sure you massage your head to ensure the shampoo is actually cleaning the scalp as well. Minimize shampooing of hair to only at night, where the objective is to clean your hair. If you have to shampoo in the morning, then use lesser shampoo.

Once hairdresser told me to make sure I dry my hair completely to prevent dandruff

But perhaps that's for minor case.

Try using a cleansing conditioner (pantene has a cheaper version available for free shipping to sg). This one above can be found in sg. Suggest you use gentle shampoo, dont use head and shoulders anymore. If possible, also can try applying oils to your hair and scalp (wrap in towel) overnight and shampoo off the next morning. Can try coconut oil.

I believe using oil won't help. Oil will only condition/moisturise the hair. But won't really help for scalp.

Using a gentle cleansing shampoo i believe would be the most economical solution for now.

It might be an onset of eczema. Treat it asap,or you might just have a bald spot there. Actually 'treat' is not the word I should use.its more like keeping it under control.

Any recommendation? Best no need to wait very long. But also not very expensive la. Later go $100+ then say "oh just dry skin, use oil".

Anyway a quick comparison with symptoms, I don't think is seborrheic dermatitis. I had something like that on my feet before, basically like snake skin with unstoppable itch, and very obvious 1 patch. But my scalp issue doesnt feel like that, the red spots is like pimple, which probably caused by the chemical in shampoo or something. And the dandruff is just snow effect, unlike big piece of peeling like what was spotted on my feet.

i seeing NSC for psoriasis and seb derm (sebo-psoriasis), but my condition different.

get yourself seen by a doctor best. won't that expensive until you really get referred to NSC and start getting prescribed the specific medications.

Depends on what is wrong with your scalp.. check with a skin specialist to know. Sometimes, might need shampoo with selenium & zinc for dandruff, or a tar based shampoo if it is related to psoriasis. Anyway, it is more or less easy to treat once it is diagnosed. EDMW can't say what your condition is, but your doc can..

true that, though I usually don't "scare myself" by thinking I'm in a bad position and go straight to skin specialist, unless the signs & symptoms are pretty much obvious or I got very bad feeling about it. Just like when you got a flu, you won't think of going hospital right away because you think you kana bird flu.

So perhaps I'll just try some methods see if it works, if not or become worse then no choice seek the experts.

yea I keep thinking I got dehydrated/dry scalp. In the past my scalp is pretty oily, until face also become oily. Even if never apply anything, just sit at home the hair also feel greasy.

But right now it's just dry. Especially after shower go aircon room, can feel the scalp "cracking" and start itch. More obvious on the side of the head and sideburns, since not much hair compared to top. Top area still okay, feels normal. And the hair/scalp no longer feel greasy even out whole day.

I asked my friend, and was told that some shampoo chemical very harsh, good for hair but bad for scalp. Especially if lesser hair, the chemical react more with scalp and after long-term will kana all these crap.

Yea probably gonna get some well PH balanced shampoo. I think those less than $10 anywhere also can buy kind like full of harmful chemicals. So maybe I try get those natural ingredients kind from Watsons. I see before some like $20-$30, but looks kinda "less harsh" compared to <$10 kind.

possible, though not as bad as those shown on google images. Will monitor a while more, if no change after using better shampoo/treatment then will go see skin doctor. :(
