Before that already had sent a few rescuers over to the china side of border crossing with heavy lift drones to search for survivors on 2nd day.

Is there any news on nepal rescuers at nepal side of the border crossing?

I think mountain valley can have sudden gust of wind especially now during south asia monsoon season. Dangerous to fly helicopter in the border narrow mountain valley compared to downstream more open land.

You can check previous posts a few forumers posted many comparison comment of china and nepal rescue progress, suvivor rescued count, dead count tally, number of personnel and equipment deployed. Said china doing nothing just building a road.

The road damage from CN side is just 3km since it is up slope from T junction. The road damage from NP side could stretch easily 5-10km++ since it is a down slope from the T junction.

Video explain why the immigration building is built at that T junction. Some history date as far back as Tang Dynasty for this travel route.

CN rescuers found a soft toy and a girl’s jacket, they can use belongings to trace dna and found out the identity of the deceased. Then forensic should scrap the bottom wall of the mountains to look for dna. That was what American did when tracing dna for Sept 11 victims.

why they cannot use helicopters to transport the disaster workers in? Isn’t it faster compared to some need to climb up and down the mountains? 🫩

high altitude, not easy coz air is not "dense", and also place to land is limited.
