I've seen those Singtel sets going online for around 1.8K. If that is the price vs getting brand new from Dell at 2699, I think I will recommend forgoing the FHD panel. To be honest, if you really prefer a good screen, I rather you spend the dif and get a 24 inch IPS panel for a fraction of the price difference. That will give you a much better gaming experience than trying to game on the small 14 inch FHD screen. Just my opinion. ;)

So far so good.. Playing D3 and audition no problem. But when using internet will freezz awhile.

Maybe the win down 8 not stable yet?

What WIFI card is it using? To be honest, I feel this is more of a driver issue. Last time I used Wifi on a laptop running Win 8, it was perfectly fine, though not on this model though.

For school use should be fine bro. If I were you, I wouldn't mind getting a cheaper Alienware 14 off the garage since I have a better gaming rig. Likely you will be gaming on your desktop anyways. Your call. ;)

Hi guys

I'm not very sure I understand how you guys are buying the Alienware laptops. Some mention Singtel and others online from dell, that'd be dell singapore, yes?

How much would it be to get it from Singtel? I checked out the Alienware Singapore and they've got only three latest models on the site, are those my only options? $2600+ would be the cheapest Alienware?

Thanks!

Hi thanks for the reply!

I'm guessing the Singtel plan is pretty high then. $100++ a month?

Wow, $2699 is still way off my budget lol.
