Hi guys, I just like to share some pictures for my alienware m14x which just collected last sat. and hope more bro and sis here will share your experience...















this is the windown 8 cd recovery disc??? read up some user here call up dell to ask for the disc. but my included on my package..

Just want to share, I had my new 200mbps installation on 24th Jul, by which singtel should be sending me my redemption letter optimistically in the following week or so. Called them up last sat and was told that they're still processing it and told me to wait. How can they take so long to process one contract?
It has already been a month of waiting so i phoned singtel again moments ago to check on my redemption letter status and received a seriously bad news! They actually made a mistake while processing my contract! Singtel thought i recontracted the old 100mbps plan which i used, so i do not have anything to redeem. Darn them! ugh. And the weird thing is i'm getting 200mbps local speed now by using their speedtest. Their next step of action is to contact me within 3 working days. More waiting, great.

Sorry for going off topic there. Back to it now, any recommended mSata ssd to get? Im looking at plextor m5m. Is it any good?

Am looking forward to receiving my Alienware 14 laptop next week, not the highest of specs. From SingNet Fibre promo one.

Anyone else looking forward to this machine?

Bought a SSD as well. But so far can't find any dis-assembly or upgrade guide for this machine leh.

I kindda like the design when the power is not on. When the power is on, I think there is too much "bling" to it. I imagine switching this on at night and the LED lights are enough to wake someone up.

Won't be able to replace the CD Drive to SSD. The power connector is different. you need to get a hdd caddy

Afterwhich, I see the 'Nvidia kernel mode has stopped working and has recovered'

Anyone else here experiencing it also?

The screen is worse than my 900bucks lenovo laptop. Anyway theres no harm trying, I dont mind top up to upgrade to a better screen. Alienware is all about the user experience isnt it.

Yes u can upgrade the panel to full HD. But cost you a BOMB. Due u need change the LCD plus motherboard. So you should know cost how much

So far nv encounter any problem at all. But hope no problem la.. Maybe call up dell ask..

Playing D3 and audition tested on both game. Will try more when i free..

i called dell tech support, the cso guided me the template steps: run a simple diagnostics - no error. upgrade nvidia driver. Still getting the same ****. in fact, more frequent.

ytd i was at my bro's place. he's has an exact same machine from singnet as well. I played awhile with it and kenna the same freezing issue.

Played the same game on the lappy? Could it be the game no stable on window 8? Why not try to uninstall the game and install again see how gose.

By the way anyone know when can buy the alienware gaming bag?
