I use a beko heat pump dryer. V easy. Just throw in. 3 hours later all done.

Energy cost v low fr heat pump dryers. Paid 850 in 2017 for it. Till today working like brand new. I clean n take care of the dryer v well. Maybe that helps. My helper after drying will iron my clothes.

I did see my friend using the one where U gtta hang e clothes but it has some red light that drys the clothes. My brother in law also uses. cos at night the light red, v scary to me, look like haunted.

Anyways this is my set up. Sole washer sole dryer. Family of 5 including my helper.
can i check 3 hours so long ?

2. power cost is $81 per year.
Annual Energy Consumption (kWh/year)

246 kWh

That is until it rains in the night.
natural drying weather definitely plays a part but doesnt affect me enough to warrant a dryer...

but i know some condo dweller totally no place to hang clothes at all 100% need dryer. that is just poor condo design...

Depends on the service yard drying clothes location. Some units are badly design or due to direction of the unit, can't get sun or wind much.

Then u will need a dryer or fan or dehumidifier.

Some people do not recommend dryer and washer combination. However, I own one and do not have any complains. I choose it as it is space saving and I do not run the dryer function much. However, when needed, it is there for me to use.

Bro just invest $20 in a clothes rack with a wheel, and push it downstairs for sun dry. My underwear always smell nice and crisp after 2hrs of sun tanning.

Dryer is the best. I am using Beko dryer and bought a new one 6 months ago after the first one lasted 8 years. The best part is just transfer the wet washed clothing directly into the dryer. Don’t even need to hang onto what rack to dry.

if you cook, those clothing hanging on the rack will tinted with cooking smell, unless you have a service balcony separated away

I purchased a 1.5k auto laundry rack system with UV and heater in 2023.

Guess what, I only used the going up and going down function since then.

No idea why I wasted so much money for functions that I did not use.

Dryer
It’s the next best thing after washer n fridge

but some clothes cannot dry must hang
Either dehumidifier n hanger or can try the “automated” rack
Dryer use a lot of electricity and my personal belief is sunlight uv helps to kill germs and keep clothes more healthy and mold free.

What some people I know is find area which has sun and hang clothes there. Example - a friend I know hangs clothes in bedroom in the day coz bedroom window gets more direct sunlight.

Just KISS or Keep It Simple Stupid.
Don't need spend so much money when it's not necessary and needs proper maintenance.
Last time people also don't have these gadgets and they still can get by.

Then you don't use air con, water heater and stick to film camera and CDs.

Whatever you get, just don't buy combi washer+dryer. Will regret.
Why ah? I use combi. The drying function used for bedlinens and continuous raining days. Can't see any problem with combi. Quite cheap also $600+ only. Cheaper than buying separate washer and dryer. Take less space too.

I already using liao but I have the ziptrack or whatever
Still leaking but bor bian
Last time is use fan
Now is use dehumidifier and aim it at the clothes
But I realised if I expose the balcony the clothes can dry overnight from the wind but prob is what if it rains at night

i stay old type estate
got 2 aircon compressor blowing toward at my clothes hanger area outside ...
even if i wash clothes at night , it will likely dry up by morning

i see those new bto one the clothes hanging is replace with the side bar ....
very bad design ... before drying out the clothes have to wipe first
somemore when rain come very hard to bring in all the clothes ...
unlike the older type using the individual pole one ... where can bring in the pole with clothes directly

newer bto design going from bad to worse liao ...

Combi takes longer time to dry the clothes. Like 2 hours also not fully dry? I guess because they share the same drum hence it is not so effective. Whereas standalone dryer will dry the clothes in less than 1 hour.

My other family member and friend both share the same story, with various brand from samsung, electrolux, bosch.
Usually they provide this for 1-2 bedder condo for space saving.

I'm not sure how you can get combi for 600, i remember usually it is quite ex like 1k+. And if spoilt then have to buy both again. Normal washing machine is quite cheap nowadays, 600-800 can get.
