to be exact, if u renew the plan before it expires, it allows u to carry forward to next month. A maximum of 4 gb for roaming

your default $10 plan comprises of 1gb roaming.

you just have to renew the $10 plan every 30 days.

your unused local data will accumulate till 200gb max. Your unused roaming data will accumulate till 4gb. I am now going to jb weekly. All with ‘low data mode’+’data roaming’. I never even buy additional roaming data.

IMHO.

The unused will roll over to the next month.
The max will be 200GB local data and 4GB of roaming data.

The option $3 for 1GB is for 7 days only. You can rollover if your buy another $3 option.

If you want to confuse yourself, you would want to know if you got existing roaming data ( from $10 ) and also bought $3 option of 1GB, which one will be used first. This kind of combination, you have to ask Heya support.

Thank you I think I understand now - I actually am not subscribed to any base plan at all! So I am not paying $10 per month (so no monthly - or I should say 30 day - 1gb roaming). I did pay $3 for roaming which worked. I think this might work better for me - if I wanted to pay $10 every 30 days I think I would be better off with SIMBA since their roaming is more than just a few countries plus can do "local" calls with the internet

IMHO.
Base plan no need to subscribe. It is there. Just that the validity is 60 days.
The $10 monthly is heya plan.
Everytime you buy a heya plan $10, the base plan validity will reset to 60 days.

The question I have is, when u first got onboard heya, did you pay $10 for the heya plan ?

Your method also works right. Cos by $3 top up for the roaming plan you also extend the SIM card validity. Can share how long the sim expiry show with just $3 top up

Even you have call roaming, the charges will be excessive. Not sure if Singtel Sim Only or corporate plans have call roaming services in overseas? Need to subscribe add. plans?

I did - and I then had a $10 “credit” value. I’ve been to Bangkok and used $3 of this for the 7 day roaming 1GB package and it works. Started to read more because curious how heya compares to GOMO and M1Maxx and got myself confused!

For this kind of thing I also have a SIMBA SIM, I will see the incoming number and call back with wifi - effectively free like this

I bought the $3 on first week of December (forgot which day exactly) and currently my expiry date shown as 9 Feb, so yah I think 60 days extended

Think his point is that if you buy before expiry, you can carry forward ( while you get the new 1gb, total 2gb) but if you buy after expiry, you lose your carry forward ( you only have the new 1gb)

I've both heya (for home broadband) and gomo (for my phone). I'm not a heavy user (not subscribed to any streaming services nor any online gaming) so I used heya line to hotspot as internet for my desktop. thankfully the 100gb for $10 each month is enough for me. each month still got some to rollover to next. I think I used only around 70 to 80gb each month?

I used gomo on my phone. only 10gb for $10... it's enough but can't enjoy much rollover since it's in blocks of 5gb. sometimes I put the heya sim as 2nd sim in my phone when I want to 'save' the data on gomo sim.

in summary - heya has lots of data at very cheap rate as compared to gomo. both on singtel network so not much difference. both cannot accept incoming call when overseas I think that's the main disadvantage of both.

oh heya as free data roaming 1gb per month which can rollover to 4gb max. if you go nearby countries quite often it can be helpful.

tbh I think heya is more worth than gomo (based on the data and features alone). but being a loyal customer of gomo I've not quit on them yet... see how bah. idk if I will lose my number or not if I port out of gomo to some other network (with Singtel).

IMHO.
You can do a speedtest side-by-side between Gomo and Heya and see which one "stronger"
