I agree but till now simba ones still better roaming options

S23 ultra red.
IMHO.
I read Simba users say got Malaysia and 1GB can do a lot of things.
Those require more data, some say use local SIM card.
More roaming options not really useful for those users.

P.S. Anyway, in a way, cannot compare, Heya.SG is not MNO and neither is MVNO. 🤣

even if 1gb data roaming used up, it will not affect incoming and outgoing calls to SG. this is a plus point if roaming calls are important.

Now have wait to see how the voice / SMS works.
I am on SIngtel with no data roam. Just that I have to pay more for voice and maybe SMS. But usually no one call me. 🤣

Previously, when I am using Singtel and go in JB for durian, I had to pay $5/$10 for value added services (data roaming in Malaysia).. And roaming call is not included inside this value added services.. Had been sucked by Stinktell for so long already. It high time that these data roaming war begin!

Mine is an old plan so roaming is included. But I pay a higher monthly plan. In the end, still the same. 🤣

I just read the T&C on the roaming. Calls are local use. No mention official can receive SMS overseas.

a) Roaming data can be rolled over up to 4GB.

b) Destination / Preferred Operator
  1. Malaysia / Maxis
  2. Indonesia / Telkomsel
  3. Thailand / AIS

Roaming data FAQ on Heya.SG website.

Roaming Data

1. How can I use roaming data overseas?

You can buy the $10 heya plan for Free 1GB roaming data to Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.

2. Will my roaming data balance and expiry date be extended if I purchase additional heya plan?
Yes! If you have an active heya dataroam balance and expiry, each additional purchase of a $10 heya plan will extend the validity and increase the total dataroam bundle from the date of the additional purchase. Rollover up to 4GB for dataroam when you top up before the expiry date.

3. How do I know when my heya dataroam bundle expires?
Simply call *119# to keep track of your heya dataroam balances and expiry.

4. I am travelling to Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand covered under the heya plan. Can I use the dataroam bundle in all the destinations?
Yes, you can use the dataroam bundle across any of 3 destinations.

5. Will I be charged for additional dataroam usage charges after I have fully utilised the dataroam bundle on my heya plan?
Fret not, there are no additional surcharges for heya roaming. No excess charges, such as Pay-Per-Use charges, will be incurred even after you have fully utilized your plan bundle. Once you have fully utilised the dataroam bundle, simply purchase another heya plan to continue using data overseas.

6. There seems to be an issue with the connection, what went wrong?
Please purchase a $10 heya plan to get Free 1GB dataroam to Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.
Once the following steps are done you should be able to use heya dataroam bundle.
A. Check that Mobile Data and Data Roaming are enabled on your mobile phone.
B. Ensure that Access Point Network (APN) setting is set to ‘hicard’.
C. Ensure your network connection is set to the preferred operator at the overseas destination.

7. Why am I experiencing slow data roaming speed?
Data roaming speed may vary depending on:
Overseas network coverage
Overseas network capacity
Overseas operators’ Fair Usage Policy

8. How can I check if I’m connected to the right operator overseas?
You can connect to these preferred operators when overseas for heya roaming data:

Malaysia → Maxis
Indonesia → Telkomsel
Thailand → AIS
