So far, in my postpaid mobile journey, I went from Singtel to MyRepublic to Starhub to Giga to M1 to Singtel to Giga to TPG (Simba) to Giga, and now, I have just switched to Heya.
Before that, I was using prepaid. My prepaid mobile days were entirely on M1.
Anyway, why I mentioned this, is because Heya, although it is a postpaid plan, its characteristics are actually that of a prepaid plan.
No auto top up one. Nonetheless, at least got give 60 days grace period. If I'm not wrong, it is the same, if not longer, than the prepaid plan grace period to top up to retain the number after the plan expire.
In terms of plan offering, heya gives me Singtel connectivity and 1GB roaming allowance that can use in Malaysia every month, for just $10. It is the same as TPG (Simba), except no doubt the connectivity would be better, because Singtel is the most established telco in Singapore.
I honestly won't mind returning to the good old days (for me, it is secondary school days and Polytechnic days), where I have to every 30 days buy top up card.
I have just joined heya, but I guess just like prepaid card, will also have SMS reminder to top up, and as mentioned, grace period top up after the plan expire to retain the number.
The benefit is that can adjust the monthly deduction date. At the same time, because it is postpaid, next time if want to port over to other postpaid telcos probably won't be a problem.
