Hi,
Am thinking of porting over to Heya. Went to shop & shop told me can't pay monthly bill through Heya app. Must use Shopeee or Lazada. Can anyone confirm this? I find it strange.

I suggest u top up every month by shopee.
Like I said many times here, u can offset with coins, every month lesser den $10, so y nt?
Lazada on the other hand don't allow coins to be offset so nah

IMHO.
I install the Heya App into a non-heya-mobile-phone that has no Heya SIM card. I key-in my Heya number and was able to receive the SMS OTP on my Heya-mobile-phone.
Maybe you uninstall and re-install the Heya App again ?

I installed Heya SIM and App in an old Mi A2 Lite phone to test yesterday. Tried a few times, only received SMS OTP once. Some reviews in Google Play Store mentioned issue with OTP. Without OTP, how to login and use wallet balance to purchase new plan?

IMHO.
There is a chance is the app issue.
You can try to install the app ( without the SIM ) on other mobiles and trigger the OTP and see if it is send to the old Mi A2.

IMHO.
The last try will be Heya SIM in the Pixel 4A.
If doesn't work, you have 3 different devices that cannot receive the OTP. Could be the SIM card issue or some configuration issue.

Just guessing / speculating...

For the 7days Heya's $3/1GB roaming data, if it's not fully used up & on the last day (7th day) -- you buy another $3/1GB roaming data -- possibly the unused / remaining roaming data may rollover another 7days.

Of course needs actual user who have tried this to confirm.

Can anyone advise what to do next? Tomorrow I should insert the sim card given? Do I need to download the Hey app on PlayStore? What does this app do? I have been told to go monthly to the shop to top up but you said can do so at Shopee?

Those traveled to other countries, beside Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia, can you receive sms? Like credit card transaction alerts if you use your credit card abroad? Recently I went Indonesia, can receive sms. Not sure about the other countries?

I signed at 8pm. Got sms 30mins later saying number porting successful.Next morning tried line at 530am can use already. Very efficient.
