Agreed, Heya has no throttling issue before Vivifi & ZYM & CMLink joins the $10 100GB club. Since then, it is on the downhill. Hope redONE take up rate is sufficient enough to survive yet not over crowded.
Zym especially the existing users keep promoting it non stop but little do they know that they’re actually making the network worse for themselves when it becomes so congested with many users. :s13::s13:

16/10/2023:
1700 hrs: Bought the $10 Heya card at a shop with option to port-in.
1715 hrs: Received SMS that Port-In was in progress.
1735 hrs: Received SMS that Port-In was successful.
2300 hrs: Received email that my existing telco mobile plan was terminated.
17/10/2023:
0200 hrs: After rebooting my mobile phone. Heya became active and fully functional.
0230 hrs: Login in to Heya App via OTP with my ported-In mobile number.
0235 hrs: Seeing the Base plan expired on 15-12-2023 indicating the free 2nd month has been included.

Fast and furious indeed! :) Nice to see the VOLTE logo! :) My 1st try on Heya!

When porting out from Heya?

IMHO.
This is not throttling. Throttling is intentional limiting. An example of throttle is RedOne limiting to basic internet speed.
Is there a term for such scenario, maybe called overcrowding? Anyway, it is worse than throttling, speed could be totally stagnant. At least throttling of 512kpbs by redONE after 100GB is still very respectable. 😀

Well done. Welcome to the Heya club!

Small correction on your last point: base plan always has 60 days expiry.

The free 2nd month will take a couple of days to come in; you'll see it in the form of a $10 wallet balance. You will need to use the wallet balance to purchase the $10 plan on the very last day of your first month's plan expiry, in effect making the 2nd month free.

You can purchase it by dialing *119# and choosing option 2, or via the Heya mobile app.

Pro-tip: don't purchase it too early (it does not extend your expiry, the 30 days expiry starts from the day you purchase it), and don't purchase it too late (after the last day of expiry, you will not enjoy the rollover benefits).

Oh I see! It's 60 days. Now I understand it.

Thank you very much for the clarification. :)

IMHO.
The last try will be Heya SIM in the Pixel 4A.
If doesn't work, you have 3 different devices that cannot receive the OTP. Could be the SIM card issue or some configuration issue.
I can receive SMS OTP again.

I contacted info@heya.sg on 13 Oct 2023. Received a reply on 14 Oct 2023 and escalated to the technical side when the issue was not resolved. Received email below on 17 Oct 2023. I did not change any settings. Happy with the response from Heya.

Hi,

Our technical side has already concluded their investigation on your issue and below are currently the findings:
- OTP was generated from the heya app unable to reach the device due to the error 'Unknown error attempting to reach phone'.
Possible reasons for the error as below:
The phone number is blocked by a carrier as spam. (This has been checked and not a possible reason).
The destination is blocked. (As mentioned in the previous email on the device setting)
The message body is not valid. (This has been checked and not a possible reason)
The phone number is on a Do Not Disturb (DND) list. (As mentioned in the previous email on the device setting)

Please follow the steps below if it will help with the issue:
- try to take out the sim card and clean the gold connectors on the sim card with a clean piece of cloth and reinsert the sim card again.
- Setting under APN “hicard”.
- Network mode is set under 4G.
(If you are using 2 sim cards in the phone ensure both sim card setting set under 4G).
- Ensure VPN setting is turned off.
- Ensure to disabled all P2P applications.

Otherwise, if the issue still persist, there is a possibility the SIM is not working properly and it is causing the issue.

If this is the case, unfortunately, we do not support for any SIM replacement. You will be able instead, to collect a new SIM with a new number. Please proceed to walk in to one of our retailer (with your valid ID) and obtain a new mobile number and our side will help to top-up S$10 heya plan to your number. In addition we will help to top-up another S$10 to your heya wallet.

Interesting that they do not provide SIM replacement in the event of faulty SIM / lost SIM. It means that if you lose your SIM card, the only way to keep your number is to port out (say to Giga or M1 Maxx), then port back into Heya again.

A little troublesome but at least there is a workaround.

That was one of my deliberation. At least can port out.

Such a good feeling to see such high speed data connection in my office! :giggle:

Frankly, the number asides! Everything on my mobile just runs so so much faster and smoother with high speed data connection! :)

Previously on another telco. I had got the most, 10%, namely 9.63 / 2.15 ,of that numbers nia for DL and UL speeds! 🤭
