IMHO.
You can do a speedtest side-by-side between Gomo and Heya and see which one "stronger"
somehow I find the speedtest rather erratic and giving high variance of values... I can get between 60mbps and 120mbps for heya download.

haven't test for gomo before..

IMHO.
At a fixed location, do speedtest for Heya then Gomo.
Note the speed. Then do them together at the same time.
See which has "higher priority".

If I top up my balance, say the $30 option, does that mean once the current month finish, they will just deduct $10 for the next month of service until the $30 balance finish? Or do I need to do something?

No. You need to manually trigger the renew button by purchasing the $10 plan.

Think his point is that if you buy before expiry, you can carry forward ( while you get the new 1gb, total 2gb) but if you buy after expiry, you lose your carry forward ( you only have the new 1gb)
Correct, that's my point. I went MY on 1/1/24. network smooth. at times I was receiving 5G too. I'm using S23 Ultra. M1 maxx need to on airplane mode sometimes to switch to MY network.

It is technically very strenuous to use 1 GB of data daily by a single user, considering he has other things to occupy his time apart from sleep. The phone and the user cannot digest that much data daily. After I signed up for this monthly 100GB, I notice I am using 2 GB daily, even though I am a light user. The max I use is 100MB daily. These Telcos are simply bloating up the numbers. Does anyone do a reality check on these numbers ?

app data usage? you can check on your phone's data usage if you set the dates of starting month correctly. I am using Samsung phone.

can consider hotspot the line - dont need to use wifi for a few days
or watch youtube videos (1080p) to use up the 100 GB data

I noticed the same.

With generally the same usage pattern, I used to clock about 500mb a day previously on 50GB plans, but up to 2GB a day now on 100gb plans.

One of the causes might be certain telcos depletes 1MB data per data vs 10KB or 100KB for some, but this is happening even with telcos with same charging blocks.

The whole 1MB vs 10KB or 100KB is for billing rounding purposes, not calculating how much data you use. Please don't spread that false information.

last time, I remember I was told Telco don't count actual but in blocks. They may charge by different block size,

no wonder I realised that my data consumption seems to have increased quite a bit... so they can use such tactic to "round up" the data usage to make it look like we used a lot of data.

Gomo is better but more expensive. Heya is cheaper but also more troublesome
