Get higher wattage psu la. 750 or 850 since there is budget for it.

I have changed to 750, wasn't as bad as I thought, only 10 dollars more
maybe better safe than sorry

Yup, but please remember to ask first. They are likely to sell those pre-flashed ones so as to clear stocks.

I checked with em, they charge around 15-20 bucks for the flashing process, so is it cheaper to go with a cheap board and pay to flash, or better to get a better board that already supports the 5000 series?

here's the updated list

I also heard that if you buy the majority of your parts from one store, you can nego/bargain a lower price, does that actually work or was false info?

also, does anyone have tips on when it's right to head down when stock is replenished? I'm in an unfortunate situation where I'm unable to head down to SLS besides on one day of the week. Or is waiting and constantly asking them if they have stock the only way?

The truth is probably next year June. Unless you can like travel to SLS the moment the vendors announced they are instock as they will probably get sold out very very soon. Maybe go down and put a deposit for a full build ? Not sure if they will take advance order anot though.

I already communicated with them via WhatsApp, sadly they themselves don't know when stock will come in, and they don't take reservations and pre orders. I also can't go down once they do have stock as I'm only in SG on 1 day of the week usually. Guess I gotta wait a few months...

if u dont need the new pc urgently, then it is wiser to put off building it for now until supply stabilises. otherwise u have to either sacrifice local warranty to get parts from overseas or pay inflated prices to scalpers, neither of which is quite favourable.

Yea. I guess it is true that now is the worst time to build a rig.

TS, if you have trouble getting from SLS, consider getting from Fortran? I got my first build from him in 2010. Getting second build from him this week. He will build the PC and deliver to yr house. His reputation quite solid one. Maybe can ask him for a quotation for yr build. PM me if u need his number.

Is buying the 3070 from Lazada a good idea? I found one on pre order for around the same price, but I'm a bit iffy on buying online, especially if the parts come in damaged or broken

I personally don't recommend lazada pre-order from local retailers. Stocks to SG will be very slow and the order might not even be fufilled.
