神雕 ending has never mentioned about the fate of YG and XLN after they left the rest. The ending of ROCH is more about introducing 九阳真经, zhang junbao and jueyuan to lay the path for start of HSDS.

If XLN really dies, I wish YG will go and marry GX.. although it is impossible cuz it's already mentioned in HSDS that GX never found them and instead settled at mount emei at aged 40.

Some are works from people who are enthusiast (prolly Asperger Syndrome sufferer who need to justify every 漏洞 bug or lack of what they deemed as proper closure 交代)

some are just profitter that plagiarized 金庸 work to publish in china back in those days where it is hard to find the 明河出版社 version, as 查良鏞 先生 works was deemed unreable literature by 共匪。

Lol..I actually like 郭靖 character the most among his novels.
Stay true to his conviction his whole life and worked hard to reach the peak.

Slower when young and matured/calm as he aged.
His character development is the most complete le.
