Bo ko leng.... Then asus, msi, zotac, gigabyte, palit, evga etc... all can't sell?:eek::eek:
I think we can use the GTX 1060 Founder's Edition as an example.

I remember Nvidia declaring that Founder's Edition cards for GTX 1060 can only be purchased from them direct.

Do we see any AIB partners selling GTX 1060 FE (reference card) in the market? If yes, then Nvidia can't be trusted. If no, then if Nvidia now claim sole distribution of Titan X cards, most likely will be the case.

Does it means if we order no local warranty?
Means 2 possibilities:

1) No local distro will bring in the card. We get from Nvidia direct, we RMA with them direct.

2) One local distro will end up taking on the Nvidia Titan X (and hopefully every other subsequent Nvidia branded FE cards), so we continue to enjoy local distro support.

Option 1 above is when Nvidia is strict with their control or local market too small. Option 2 is when a local distro seizes the business opportunity to grab Titan X for local market.

AIBs are all out to pull strings time with Nvidia i would say.

Don't think there isn't any allocations for AIBs at all, especially like their tier one partner EVGA.

So only can wait and see down the road.

what happened to the Ti ? :(
Ti only occurs as an in-between solution when the performance gap between 2 cards is too huge, e.g. GTX 980 and GTX Titan X. Else, like in the case of GTX 680 and GTX Titan, there was no Ti. :D

Looks like there isn't any Ti? from the look of it what Nvidia is doing? How is Nvidia is going to slot this Ti into which segment?

And since Nvidia launch 1080/1070/1060 and now Titan X Pascal in within 3 months? and wouldn't cannibalising their own 1080 Pascal products with Ti?

And it looks like the Ti series will be stop-gap measures next year in case they cannot rush out GTX 1100 series out in time. As seen with the GTX 980Ti being the major and successful release to appease us consumers last year when 16nm yield was not high enough for Pascal products.

Most likely that 1080Ti will be a cut-down GP102 i.e. those silicon which did not make the grade for Titan X.

Don't forget that MSRP for the 1080 is USD599/699 (for what that's worth :s13:). Plenty of space between 599 and 1200 to slot in a 1080Ti.

It's like how 980Ti killed titanX. If there is a new 1080Ti, it will kill the new titanX too.

Else buy a OEM system with titan X inside. Come liao, take out the card and sell the rest. :s13:

I might be wrong though, but if you look at Titan X cuda cores, at 1024 more cores, clocked slightly slower than the small pascal, I'm seeing it as it should be 30% more performance out of the box. If the Ti variant comes out it will be in between the Titan X and the 1080 but it is rather very close towards each other.

There might be no Ti at all, if so, I think you can see top of the line 1080 by AIB coming soon, such as lightning, gold edition yada yada. Then perhaps see a dual 1080 lol
