Lol you need to catch up with happenings bro.Pretty sure this is illegal.

Singapore is a premier source of Nerf and gel blasters. There is a super active community. Some rotten eggs spoil the fun by actually importing illegal things. The guy who made the news lately? He had a mix of both legal and illegal kit. It was illegal discharge in public that got him the attention of SPF. He has been excluded from the community.

Here is where the lines are drawn.
Legal to own, legal to make, Import of COMPLETE units are CONTROLLED
-Foam blasters that are not gas actuated
-Gel blasters that are not gas actuated
-Water guns
You can get complete units from manufacturers and distributors who followed SPF process. It is generally not a good idea to import your own. Here's an idiotic situation. You can leave Singapore with your legit NERF blaster on holiday, but not legally bring it back in assembled. High end NERF blasters are disassembled for international travel when overseas games are played because of this. In pieces, the blasters are not controlled items because when complete they are not classified as firearms.
Some places like ifb.sg and springblaster.com are legit places to get foam blasters.
The definition here of gas actuation encompasses CO2 canisters and high pressure air. It does not cover indirect gas actuation by means of a spring.

ILLEGAL in all forms to possess for private individuals. This is what the quoted article is talking about.
Airsoft, and also stun guns.
-Paintball markers
-Airsoft AEGs
-Airguns
-Crossbows
Corporate entities with licenses from SPF can own the above btw. That is why I made explicit mention of private individuals.
There is a bit of grey area between hobby gel blasters and airsoft AEGs that makes the import of gel blaster mechanisms controlled. Gel blasters are essentially scaled up AEG mechanisms so the permits process is a bit of minefield to navigate. Best to leave it to companies registered with SPF to handle that e.g. bluebird gel blasters. Contrast with NERF blasters because gel blaster gearboxes are controlled items whilst nothing that makes up a NERF blaster is controlled.
I am a BBGB customer. We are actually instructed to retain the receipt and show it to SPF if anything happens to prove that the gel blaster we have was obtained through legit means. This is probably due to the controlled standardized gearbox and is not a problem you would encounter with regular NERF foam blasters. I suspect that Kiddy Palace and Toys R Us blasters use substantially different gel launching mechanisms that aren't AEG adjacent.
