If you're a fan of Bak Kut Teh soup, then avoid the one at NEX. The tiny and shallow bowl of soup they serve you with the innards, I can't even scoop the soup properly.

less than 5 full scoops of soup thats all. Its more like gravy than soup.

Actually come to think about it, I'm quite dissapointed overall, but the intestines + the dark soy sauce and chilli padi is nice.

NEX one is nice but super expensive. Serving is pathetic too.

ok i just tried the nex BKT on wed... fully agree...!! damn @#$% $$$$$... and pathetic small bowl.... some more got 10% service charge and 7% GST...!! i think the amount is half that of typical BKT at hawker centers at twice the price!! yes it's not bad but NOT WORTHED IT...!!

the one at balestier not bad. many hong kong celebrities go there to eat. the shop has a wall with like few hundred popular celebrities photos, apparently a must go place for them when they are here in singapore.

as for the taste, it is not bad but portion is a little small. personally i prefer the black kind of bkt, which i think can only find in johor nowadays.

I had this BKT on 21 May 2011. The boss is the one running ard and serving, ordering and topping up soup. Great service from the other waitresses also. Boss is ard mah!

The soup, I feel that standard dropped compare to during Outram Park era in the early 2000s.

The meat portion is good as usual and soup taste abit dropped standards. Seriously, taste is more bland, more peppery then usual and balestier 333 was better in taste recently. (maybe in msg? )

Maybe something wrong with my taste bud bah. The fish soup is nice, fresh and fragrant with watercress. Chye Sim abit old and tangy in texture. Tau Po is soft and flavourful.

The Song Fa BKT is as exp as Outram BKT. Taste is abit more salty, pork more fatty and yeah the braised trotter is good. Had tried there kidney mee sua, not so bad. Recommendable thou like Outram BKT but closed at 10.30pm.

FUGGING EXPENSIVE.

It is good but not worth the price.

Pig's intestine soup + rice , Total price including service tax (10 + 7%) = almost $14.

The plain rice is $1.20.

The one at Ion is also freaking expensive

$50+ for 2 person

The one at 金山岭 at yishun blk 4xx is nice. Is near the EC lilydale.
