Most teochew peranakans are catholic. As a fellow peranakan, I think Nichole should speak more Mandarin, use more Chinese. That would give her the edge. Saw her during an interview, a reporter asked her to repeat in Mandarin, she said she that couldn't.

Especially when compared to 2009 when people risked their life savings for a miserable 5% returns per annum mini-bonds.
