honestly, if you are so against either party... what are you trying to prove in here then?

im more of against the current situation that we have to suffer now.

the point im trying to bring across is that we need candidates with the right attitude and ability to be in there. people whom we know, who have done things for us, and people with the right expertise and experience. and i have alr listed quite a few of the examples. the opposition shld field more candidates like these, instead of filling up numbers. good examples like dr vincent, tan kin lian, gerald giam, transitioning org writer, csj, and many more.

and we clearly know the current state of papaya is against us. that's because they field in newbs in the grc, people who have never work on the ground before. the opp shld avoid being like them, since they are our only choice if we want to vote against the current policies in place.

start from the ground, win the people heart before the election, years before it is even due. people got eyes, they can see what u done for them. liddat then people will be convinced to vote u in and confident of u representing them in parliament.

bro i totally agree with what you say... put it simple...is like prepare for your exam 1st instead of doing last min work.

i believe the OPPs should treat the erection as BIG PLAN if possible.. be it 10 year 20 years.. work together from the ground. be it charity form giving food to needies... or even attend religious events and become some leaders. helping out the community.. so as to build a strong base of supportors when the time ripe. and really worked together as a UNIT .

which is right now is a good start.. atleast they are trying their best to contest all areas . borrow members.. stretching the pappies resources instead of 3 way fight or even walkover scenarios.

however.. they also have their disadvantage.. that is the PAPPIES are the ones who are drawing GRCs boundaries.. in their own advantage. and of course the PRs and who "integrated" to our community .

Then vote in the people who might possibly change the situation than the incumbent who won't.

How many of these people with the right attitude AND right ability AND want to run for election are there? Different people prefer to contribute in different ways. Are you going to refuse the chance to have things change for the better just because the people who are trying to do so, don't fit your criteria of being good enough?

What will you do at the voting booth if none of the candidates from any parties have any track record? Vote for the PAP figurehead with "track record" they are tagging along and hope that things will change for the better?

The thing is how do you know they haven't been working on the ground? Maybe they have been, just not visible to you personally. After all, isn't doing social work a form of working on the ground and getting to know the plights of the people? That alone is already light years ahead of people who think high cost of living isn't the government's responsibilities.

Bro, what did you expect from a sheltered privileged elite from a party of deaf frogs who would rather spend $300M on a sporting event nobody really cared about than feed the needy slightly better? :s13:

honestly i don't understand why people keeps taking her vulgarities as a talking point.

when mr lee did something more drastic..

so are you saying is fine to hit but wrong to scold?

like that means what arh??

source

so the guy who hits deserves to be a Minister, Candidate but a person who scold vulgarities shouldnt be 1.

Whatever LEE do is correct even is wrong will not be prosecuted

I think most of them are going along with the thought in mind that they will never descent to our peasant level that they would need to worry about such issues.

Actually, it was closer to 400M at 387M and some frogs still think it's well spent... despite the embarrassing incidentals like food poisoning, worse than camp food for volunteers and expired rewards tickets sent after events were over.

I agree with what you say. Opposition parties can only work around with the members they have. I'm very sure if there are indeed A star candidates i'm sure they would fill them in to contest in Marine Parade. They have to make do with what they have, and it certainly seems the case here.

Nicole Seah is what they have for now, either you support her or you choose TPL and sponsor her kate spades bag for the next 5 years.

i mean if the money is really spend for building SG brands are ok... consider SG so small need to do some branding for ourselves.. BUT.. logically how CAN a even just overbudget 3 TIMES.... there must be something wrong.. which i dun wish to comment..

remember... who losses 50 billion... during that period? and how suddenly everything increases at such a great speed.. once oil increase.. they got reasons to increase electricity.. and other other expenses.. ERPs also suddenly increase? WHY? WHO to FILL up the holes?.and everything they will push to gobally... all these reasons bla bla bla.. haizz

Could be due to her upbringing as well as her religious

upbring and religous plays apart... BUT from what she says she really do the ground work... when she feels so powerless and furstating why keep giving them meals everyday... instead of solving the root of the problem... POLICY... just one word can change millions of life.. makes alot of things easiler.

Over 9000! No sign on slowing down!

She really has the x-factor to draw crowds.

I wonder how this online support will translate into real votes. She's going to do her house-2-house walk on Sunday, I bet the number of people supporting will be impressive. :)

Every minute at least 10 likes. Cheonging non-stop.

I've got nothing against them building the Singapore brand if it benefits the long time Singaporean citizens. Spending on F1, OK, it is a confirmed high profile event, it attracts people with spending power to come and spend in our markets.

YOG? Who here even knows where or when will be the next YOG be held without looking it up? Who even cares? It is almost a complete waste of money.

Very clever. She actually used her swearing on twitter to her advantage by highlighting the common frustration with congested traffic. If tpl takes seah on in a debate, she might get slaughtered.

I'm not trying to be biased but don't you guys feel that when TPL is not cocking up on her communication with the masses, her words sound so...scripted? Nic Seah looks and sounds more like a person who can think and speak on her feet.

yes its quite obvious, TPL comes across as thinking "what am i supposed to to say"* b4 she answers
wherease NS justs say it.

* Consequently, her answer is "IDK-WTS"
