Yes, power banks no issue. Its how the switch communicate with the Dock.

yeah that's what I read from reddit too.

Looks like I found a valuable player in this country. Want to add me ? So we can play together? I’m A player in ranked.

If it's just one user then that's probably an anomaly.

no issue with pd power bank and pd cable. the dock uses pd standard also. but your pd power bank need to be up to standard. at least it can power up your dock kind of pd power bank. i have no issue with zmi power bank or at least find a pd power bank at similar standard.

I'm thinking about getting the zmi one as well or the anker powercore+ 20k mah. Basically any reputable brands will do right? I'll probably just use the usb-c to usb-c wire that comes with it.

It applies to power banks also. There's someone who posted in the Nintendo Switch thread on reddit that his switch bricked due to the anker powerbank.
Yes, it should apply to power banks too. The root of the problem is that the Switch does not conform to USB-C standard. So no matter it's the dock or a power bank, the Switch has problem communicating with the power source. This can fry the power IC chip inside the Switch (the internal battery apparently is still ok). No highly publicised case doesn't mean it cannot happen. Though people probably don't leave the Switch charging on a powerbank for extended period of time, so may be it's less risky, but it can still happen. May want to monitor the battery % when using powerbank and unplug it when full. Since Nintendo doesn't make powerbanks, there's no alternative anyway.

Good to have but doesnt benefit ppl much. Xb1 and ds controller still cheaper, almost all games controller mapping (i mean in-game) still use xb1 layout except a select few japanese games use ds layout.

Although it is cheap. It cannot power up the dock. Dock need at least 15v so zmi have more power.. and also 15v is the supply that your switch can handle from docking.

So 399 is the cheapest right now for Switch? With the usual codes via Lazada?

Tempted to get a Switch.

Any suggestions what to start with? Seems like Zelda and Mario Odyssey is like the best 2 games?

Zelda is a must buy and will last you 100+ hours. Mario is nice but personally not a must buy for me.
