What's the difference? “Classic Games Selection" is like HD remastered, whereas "Virtual Console" is just running the age old original ROM using simulator?
nah. no way they going to do HD remaster.

they have to fix the aspect ratio.. liked what Capcom did for Street Fighter. the game will essentially change once the aspect ratio is changed. they only gonna add the online function.

But they already did that for 30 games in the NES Classic Edition. It has somewhat upgraded graphics (with optional simulated scan lines and such). With added features like manual saving any time.

Come to think of it, the 3 games mentioned (Super Mario Bros. 3, Balloon Fight, Dr. Mario) are all in the NES Classic Edition. Maybe that's why Nintendo stopped production of the NES Classic Edition, cos eventually all those 30 games will be available in that form on Switch anyway through the subscription service as Classic Games Selection. (Of cos Nintendo is not gonna give you all 30 at once, maybe swapping in and out Netflix style, having 10 at a time.)

And the next classic mini console could be SNES, thus SNES games are 'under consideration' for the subscription. That should last Nintendo a couple of years without actually putting effort into the 'free' games for the subscription, just have to piggyback on their other products.

If I'm not wrong, this is the adhesive layer becoming separated from the glass due to the heat produced by the switch.

Do you dock your switch fairly often and is there enough air flow?

*edit* only 2nd day then it's the screen protector due to it being not complete flat at the edges I guess.

You are not the only one. Alot facing issue when docking and apparently the edges will get scratch. Google and you will see some DIY remedy. Otherwise if you really need to dock , place it carefully and don't remove often.

hi Darren, thanks for the heads up. I will take note when docking/undocking

My bad, i didn't mention that the "cracks" appeared at all 4 corners of the SP. Hence if it is scratches it doesn't make sense when it appears at the top, which is away from the dock's evil clutches.

The plastic film based screen protectors will fare better in terms of lifting off the surface but it will be more prone to scratches since it's at most 6H.

Heat will still be an issue that you'll want to look into for maximising lifespan. I 3D printed a dock and transferred the internals. It's a lot cooler and there's no chance that it'll scratch the screen.
