New Nintendo 3DS 生産終了
https://www.nintendo.co.jp/hardware/3dsseries/new3ds/index.html

New 3DS production officially ended. Just the smaller size one though, the LL/XL still in production, along with the new 2DS XL and 2DS.

the new 3DS XL is here...why buy 2ds XL when the price diff is like 30/40 bucks
Cos the 3D screen is white elephant, not worth 30/40 bucks if you dont want it. And the 2DS XL has better cover for the card slots (the 3DS iirc you need to bring a screwdriver with you if you want to swap the game cartridge). Also the 3DS XL doesn't come with power adapter at all, so you have to spend extra unless you already have it.

For the New 3DS and New 3DS XL, you will need to use a cross-head screwdriver to remove the screws of the bottom cover, and then use the stylus to pry the bottom cover off in order to access the microSD card. One time pain for me.

If you buy locally, the power adapter is provided (by Maxsoft I think)

My 3DS XL is used by my kid to play animal crossing, nintendogs and Tamadochi. Sadly, the touchscreen has some dead pixels, but it doesn't bother the kid haha, although if it was me, I will be >(

The New 2DS XL looks nice and sleek. If indeed the 3DS XL KO, I may get the New 2DS XL for my kid.

Waynie has tested that we can download games from whichever country once you have bought the digital game. Eg: bought Mario kart from South Africa store. Deleted game, and in US store, still able to download. So this means the purchases are tied to your Nintendo ID and Switch instead of the store location, which should make it simple if you r switching devices.

Anyone bought the pro controller and regretted it? Is it really a lot better than the joycon controllers?

Thanks! Meaning to say just 1 account would suffice? (Changing country location)

I thought kinda long and hard over it too, at last I decided to go for a new pair of joy con instead so I can play 4 players.

The issue with using a single joycon is that they are so small even with asian hands. You'll want to get some sort of joycon holder to assist with pressing the SL and RL buttons.

As for the pro controller, it's definitely an upgrade in handling and more inline with traditional gamepads but when using motion controls, joycons are better. So if you're not willing to spend that money just yet, a pair of joycons will be good too just like the Wii controller and nanchuck combo.

The pro controller dpad issue of accidentally pressing unwanted directions can be corrected if you're willing to use some elbow grease.

We create multiple account so we could have access to the lowest price of the game, yes you could create just one account and all the time you will be only buying in that particular region ... some games are not available in some region, so what if you want to buy a game from the US but it is not available in the Japan store? get my point? and what if the price for that game is higher by ($2.00) for example and on the other region shop it is much lesser ... that is the purpose of multiple account. :D:D:D:s12:

Ya it does get a little uncomfortable overtime but usually we don't play long hours. 2-3 hours of gameplay isn't a problem. That being said, there are cheap joy con grip out there that look like it has good form factor.

actually it's weird right, we understand the need for different eShop for currency purpose, but why not if one game is develop in one country ... why not make it available for the rest of the region. some games are like that but the others are just simply available in one region particularly in Japan :s11::s22:

Is there a website that compares the prices between Nintendo EShops? So far, I have been using camelcamelcamel to track Amazon prices. Thanks!

Well you can change your account region with a web browser. I don't see any reason to create multiple accounts for access to multiple regions unless you don't want the hassle of changing it as and when you want to access another region's eshop.
