My generation 1 set is two pin European standard but is under maxsoft warranty. From electrical point of view two pin is good enough as the rest of the material don't conduct electricity so chances of earth leakage is close to zero unless the plastic all become conductive.

Mine's also the 2-pin type.

Is 499 a good price ? What is the original retail price before the hike ?

$499 is the cheapest brand new local set u cant find elsewhere in Singapore. I bought an export gen 2 set from a local shop which already cost $450 prior to covid-19 outbreak.

If bought from overseas shops will have gst tax above $400 CIF. He bought from local shop so gst should be included in the price.

I personally bought an import set at $329 during 11.11 sales, no import tax as below $400.
Pretty surprised how much prices have soared during COVID.

the closes that you can set would be HK. SG is not listed as I initially wanted to set it to that region. Downside though is that e-Shop is not available.
