Joycon SR SL not working due to faulty ribbon which is easy to fix by buying the ribbon from AliExpress.
Joycon lock wear off also can be fix by buying the parts from AliExpress.
Joycon side connection gets dirty on handheld mode always gets disconnected after cleaning with WD40 and contact cleaner as good as new.
SD card reading gets disconnected after cleaning with WD40 and contact cleaner as good as new.
Kick stand broken off but can be fix by buying replacement from AliExpress.
Battery of joycon not lasting, also can buy parts from AliExpress to replace.
I spend like less than a 50bucks to fix all these bugging issues.

Hi
I got issue with my switch gen 2, got it Nov 2019. Korean set so no more warranty:
- frozen at logo upon start up , sometimes
- console cannot connect to WiFi (though can detect WiFi)
- console cannot detect joycon x4 (confirm all joycon working).
Anyone encounter similar issues ? any way to fix it? Send for repair, any recommendation? Thank you.

for wifi issue, u got to set your router at 5ghz instead of 2.4ghz. go google on it

i guess u very suay, kana buggy set. think might as well buy new one instead of repair, but wait for their new "pro" version

Thanks for the advise. I saw the WiFi fix online. But I can’t go past the frozen screen so no chance to fix haha.

I also think so :(... I have so many friends with switch, non of them got issue with their set

did u try to factory reset? not sure if there's such option, and reinstall/update the software again.

I read there is such option but I did not try yet. I asked around for repair/replace part quote for the issues encountered by my console. For info. I was told it’s some ic issue in motherboard. Repair $180, replace mb $300. Shopitree.

i would rather try reset factory first and update software to try first.
if reset still have issue, wait for switch pro if u can wait. if not just get new one. promo for gen 2 is 429 lowest for now
