i never tried yet cause i hardly purchase digital, but in the facebook grp for switch, there are ppl who stated they are able to purchase from SA eshop, they called to enable it.

I read the Facebook Group to be very honest most of the advice, recommendations and suggestions they gave is really very stupid...Most of the reply on the Facebook group with regards to South Africa eshop is to use PayPal to pay which is crap as there is no option to use PayPal for South Africa and people recommend on something that they did not even know or ever go to the South African eshop...

There is no transaction on your credit card and you call your bank to allow which transaction?

Did you create different accounts for each region or just 1?

A new owner for Switch with a couples of noob questions.

1) Currently I have the Smash Bros in game card and plan to buy few other games in the near future. I plan to buy a microSD and have all the games within the microSD so that I need not switch the game cards every now and then when I switch game. Is there any solutions to achieve it other than getting the digital copies from eshop?

2) Other than the provided wall charger, I have a Anker PowerPort Speed PD 5 Ports USB-C (Power Delivery) desktop charger, any detrimental effect if I use a 3rd party USB C cable with this desktop charger as my alternate charger? Any suggestion for 3rd party cable?

3) Similarly, I plan to use my existing HDMI cable for the console docking purpose. Any issue with 3rd party ones?

4) I read some gamers encounter glare or screen issues with their tempered glass screen protector. Any suggestion on the brand to avoid screen issues?

Appreciate your suggestions/advice.

1. I dont think there is a way to transfer cartridge game to your SD card.

2. Nintendo switch has slightly different charging current compared to Handphone. Last time I tried to use my handphone charger to charge the switch and it killed the hp charger.

3. 3rd party HDMI cable should be fine.

4. I use no brand tempered glass screen protector. So far no issue.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm still trying to learn more from the contribution at this currently and previous threads and googling.

I read online that I can do a archive of the game data (through downloading?) to the microSD. I'm not exactly sure how it works, what kind of game data and whether can it run directly from the microSD.

Anyway, It's a pity that I can't move the game from the game card to the microSD and run from it.

Hi all, playing Switch docked like 90% of the time. Planning to get get either a hard protector case or travel case for the occasional times if need to bring out. Any recommendations?

Also, does anyone know if using a hard protector case may cause heating issues while docked?

Nyko slim case
this is one of those slim enough to be docked
others cannot be docked
the joy cons are silicon cover
comes with free SP.

Ah yes, slim enough to be able to fit into the docking was 1 of the concerns as well. I'll take a look.

Do you know if using this while docked (prolonged) may cause heating issues?
Or better to remove if console is docked most of the time?
