I'm still trying to learn more from the contribution at this currently and previous threads and googling.

I read online that I can do a archive of the game data (through downloading?) to the microSD. I'm not exactly sure how it works, what kind of game data and whether can it run directly from the microSD.

Anyway, It's a pity that I can't move the game from the game card to the microSD and run from it.

I think only save data and DLCs that you download from eshop will be saved inside the SD card if you use game cartridge.

SD card only stores games and DLC purchased and downloaded from eShop. All saved data is only stored in console or in the cloud if you have Nintendo Online subscription (with exception of a few games).

Saved data is never saved in SD card so if your Switch is dead and you don't have Nintendo Online subscription, your save data is gone.

Physical games can only play from cartridge, cannot be transferred or copied into SD card.

I only have 1 account but I switch my region based on the cheapest eShop price of the game i want to buy. There should be no need to have multiple accounts unless due to online gaming reasons. Remember to always opt to pay exact with card because if you have any credit balance in any eshop, you are stuck to that region. Likewise you cannot use those prepaid cards unless you are stuck to the region's e-shop.

For me, my UOB card works for South Africa. In any case if South Africa cannot, just go to the next cheapest country, the difference can't be more than $1 or $2.

Use your phone or computer, go to browser, log in to your Nintendo account at https://accounts.nintendo.com/login?lang=en-US and change the region there.

I am not sure if it will affect your 3DS eshop country but you can always change your region back via browser.

I use this method to change my region and access all the eshops, no complications so far, except have to re-enter your log in credentials on switch when going into eshop after you switch region.

However I read that the joycon no longer can fit into the joycon grip. For those who has it, how bad is it?

Er well, it just totally doesn't fit at all. So I took out the joy con protector but left it on for the screen portion

Normally I use paypal to pay for my eshop purchase. So far only buy from US eshop, never try other countries.

Just bought a local Switch bundled with Smash Bros.

Courts having the promotion at $529, instead of $569. Some game shops are retailing at $549 or perhaps even lower.

Hi all, Just bought a switch and have a query on getting the Nintendo online account. The switch will be shared by 3 people (ie 3 different user accounts). Does this mean I need to get a family online account or just a single user as we are physically only using 1 switch.

Hi guys. I bought the Korean version of Super Smash Bros and theres a DLC for the Piranha Plant included in the box. My question is, can i redeem it using my US account or do i have to create a korean region account to claim it?

Only 1 Nintendo online account is needed. You can link all 3 user accounts to the Nintendo online account.

Not sure about that but if your US account doesn't work then switch your account to Korean account which is not a difficult thing to do. Use your mobile/computer and login to your Nintendo account and change it.
