i am thinking of buying a switch for FAMILY games with my 7 and 9 year olds.
i have a home brew Wii (gen 1) and was wondering if i can buy switch (gen 2) and install home brew.
i read need firmware 4.1.0 to exploit.

but is it worth to break warranty immediately? also how much are original games.
im looking at games like mario kart etc. im a pc gamer so no solo games for me.
is switch a good upgrade from Wii ?

idk much about bricking switch but yes, switch is a very good upgrade from Wii

I think the new model will most likely be out 2nd half of next years base on rumors online. Unlikely will be this year since there are still games planned for switch soon to be released at the later half of this year (e.g. Hogwarts Legacy). But yes, the switch is more than 6 years old and Nintendo even acknowledged that it would be hard to keep up the momentum in sales so I guess it is high time they launch a new console
