No issue with the sets bought from Korea. You can set the system language to English.

The local distributor is unlikely to provide warranty for the set though.

Soz brah.. Not the best person to ask cause I dun have Pokemon. But from my understanding you'll be limited to trading and battling in your local network.

I’m using a US account and set everything to US, so my eShop account and Nintendo Switch online subscription works.

Do note that during the setup of your eShop account, there’s a part where you need to specify a zipcode when you add your credit card for purchases. Note that there’re only a few states in the US that are tax free so when you purchase your games, you won’t be charged any taxes, since different states charge different amounts of tax.

Lastly, you will be charged in USD and billed in SGD after conversion but overall, eShop games tend to cost a little more than physical copies sold here. Example, a typical game cost US$59.99 but I’m charged S$83+ when my bill comes, compared to around S$75 - S$77 locally.

If I am to follow your footsteps, I have to change the country of residence to the US, right?

With the US time zone set, will it affect my console and in-game's clocks? Would the clocks follow the region in the account setting?

Say, if after I purchase the Nintendo Switch Online membership, will I be able to use it if I revert my account to Singapore as country of residence?

there's no Singapore eshop/region for switch now. for the clock, it will still follow singapore time. Im using US region/eshop account

Bought & activated the Nintendo Switch Online membership for USD34.99. My family members will use 3 (maybe +1 later)...so will have at least 4 slots to spare.

Elysium87 have answered your question. Change all to US to play safe. To remain in SG time, go to your settings and under the date and time settings, I chose to synchronise time over internet and the time zone is set to KL, hence the time remains the same.

It will not affect your console as said, the clock displayed in your switch goes according to the time zone you set as above. The Nintendo Switch online account is just a US account you set up but for it to work, set the region to the Americas.

Yes you can still use it since the ‘user’ set to game play is tied to your US account, but you might not be able to make eShop purchases.

I've let the Nintendo Switch account to remain as "US resident" & so I have access to the US eshop, I believe.

On the console, I've set the time zone to "Kuala Lumpur" to sync with Singapore's. The Pokemon Shield game seems to correspond to the console's system settings timing.
