why microkia bundle 1020 with camera grip? It will make the phone more expensive. People who need the camera grip will buu it seperately.

Because Nokia knows from their launches in US & EU and past experience that Asian users love bundle deals? "Free" is good PR.

And also the camera grip can act as a kickstand in portrait & landscape mode?

And everyone expected $999 W/O the camera grip?

And the spare battery that allows you to play games longer?

And the camera button that is tensioned just right for shake-free photography in low-light to capture the moment?

And it protects the polycarbonate case of the Lumia 1020?

And it flattens the camera bump?

And it allows you to change the colour of the 1020 without changing the phone?

And when we don't need it, we just pop it off & dump it in the car or bag?

And it may be possible to use the camera grip to charge iPhones 5S & S4/Note 3 when they run out of juice?

And it may be heavy enough to be used as a projectile?

I called M1, they're not saying. So maybe just normal bundle. My secret sauce haven't gotten back also.

i still remember last yr for L920, i went down Taka Singtel, the pricing is only avaliable after 1030am, or something, waiting for official email...

update: mine was on corporate plan ... a bit different...

for M1, I saw the price of the Lumia 920 on the day itself newspapers (I believed I saw SingTel's and Starhub on the newspapers too) and since I was already determined to get it, the price didn't shock me much

I actually prefer e wireless charging (best is headphones but probably asking for too much.) to the camera grip as I cant see how I will use it in Sg unless I am travelling out of Sg.

I prefer camera grip though. Better grip for taking photos (which is mainly what this phone for), and the ability to mount on a tripod is a big plus. Night shots will need it. Not to mention that it is also a battery bank. I usually charge the phone via USB, so do not need wireless charging at all.

Color choices are an entirely objective selection, as such there is no right or wrong color

That said, black is as boring a color as you can get. Especially for a Lumia, who're renowned for their bright and cheery chassis colors


The Starhub freebies are indeed pretty awesome, let's hope the rest of the telcos can match it. Personally all I'd like is the camera grip, it'd be the most useful for me out of the lot. The wireless charging would be nice but I don't like how the case wraps around the corners of the phone, but leaves the phone edges exposed. The Monster headphones are utter trash and you couldn't pay me enough to keep that junk
