Only 1440p but youre looking at 700-800 or more in price

Anyways dont need chase 120hz since you'll need two cards or very heavy overclock in many games to maintain 120fps

You are also forgetting the luck of the Vram as well...

just saying that OP is over thinking too much... buy a 780... any 780...

never asked OP what he will use it for... later just have 60hz 1080p laggy monitor.. then no point to 780 really...

Anything below 60hz for a big monitor (27inch) it is damn obvious that it is slow and sluggish.

1 780 wont pull good results. Probably average out 60fps. On BF4 tested on 60hz it is hitting between 55fps to top 80fps. Most of the time it is 60fps.

Normally people whom is buying the QX2710 they will tend to OC till at least 96hz/110hz. This is the monitors potential refreshing rate. To sustain a good FPS for this 2 refreshing rate, you require 2 780 or 2 r9 290 to sustain such fps/hz.

Well depends on game to game even a 780 might only do around 60 fps or even less when maxed. Think of fps linking to hz. 1 fps = 1 hz. If u only produce 60 fps then u get 120hz monitor also no use

IMO

Just buy the Qnix QX2710 and overclock the monitor to its potential refreshing rate.

It cost half of what you gonna pay for a 2713hm from Dell. $725 vs $309 and below.

Think about it. With that money you could have save up for a new 780.

And lastly if you gonna stay 60hz then there is no point to buy a 1440p monitor at 27inch. Too slow and the sluggishness is easily seen.

Might as well go for a 1080p monitor and just 60hz will do.

Depends on the game you plan to play

online shooter... go for as high fps as your budget can muster...

single player games... 60fps more than enough...

btw monitor lag got nothing to do with Hz or res or even response time...

You need to check monitor review site on what is the exact lag...

Anyway moral of the story is build your rig according to what you will use it for and the expected quality of the experience you are going for...

You can get very high fps on most games if you lower your graphical settings...

want big res, high fps, max detail = moar money dropped down the rabbit hole...

Also sli... buyer beware. .. research first if the game you play got sli profile if not then your 2nd gpu is useless...

very rare you see a launch day game come with a good sli profile.. not even aaa title like titan fall came with an sli profile at day 1... not to mention the crap ton of free to play game that doesn't even have sli many years after launch...

For GPU boost 2.0 if you set same clocks the max boost will be same on all cards. And it doesnt throttle down from the highest boost bin till after 75 iirc i did some experiments with it on air and water.

However for extreme ocs we disable boost so we can maintain the highest boost clocks at all times when loaded instead of a dynamic load

But anyway shadow was saying same clock on diff cards perform differently... I found that odd since same architecture and model work done per clock should be the same

Lottery only determines the voltage at which you can reach a clock and hence with locked chips, the highest clocks u can reach. But if all are kept stock regardless of good or bad chip would say its probably the same

If dynamic boost is off and the cards still perform the same, I have no idea what's causing the difference either.

buy air duster, can find 1 can for about $10+ in challenger. don't ever use vacuum as it accumulates static electricity which may damage ur components.
