Evga not bad, cooler is efficient. Does not come with backplate. Can be purchased from amazon or see if convergeant can help bring in for u.

EVGA must buy your own backplate. Its good for overclocking but save your time and money if you dont oc

Not entirely correct...those classy never come with backplate meh? i think i saw somewhere have leh..kingpin have i noe...at least their HC signature series got come with.. TB n TZ confirm have...but so far EK's back plates looked nicer n passive cooled those vrm at the back....

kingpin is have. normal classified whether 780 or 780 Ti all must buy your own. i had to get mine off amazon

i dont like ek backplate very plain looking (had one with my old ek block on my dc2) so i just used the classy backplate

Theres 3 Surface mount components which are also cooled on the EVGA Classy backplate. There's a thermal pad which comes with it

Even Hydrocopper must buy yourself iirc. But recommend you avoid HC. Alhomme has alot of personal experience on this

Hydrocopper come with Classified backplate. i dare say the HC is the most dog shiat of all the full cover blocks..

But not the Titan Black. It is EK sourced. the rest is from swiftech.

Okay bro, I decided to get ASUS dc2 OC in the end.

But I found out a weird thing through my friend. I was playing league at the max settings, so was he. With vsync off. He's using r280 or r280x, he told me that he got 200 plus fps, but I found out that my gtx780 is only giving me 100 plus fps. Is there something wrong? He didn't do any OCing. Am I using my graphics card wrongly or ?

well some games are more optimised for amd or nvidia. wouldnt worry about it 100+ fps is double the fps u need too

yea, but for gtx780, i thought i would expect more.
i actually did a 3dmark on the card. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-950 Processor,MSI X58A-GD65 (MS-7522)

I don't know if u can see the link given.

your 3dmark is quite low for a 780, you can overclock yours for more performance but i can see your processor is quite old so i suspect that is holding you back.

3dmark is also very dependent on CPU so maybe you can try valley and post in my thread

Processor is holding my graphic card performance back you mean?

Hmm guess now I can only suck thumb and play with that old processor. Haha.

I am currently at work, I will give it a test when I reached home later in the evening.

yes but ok la more than enough. likewise some games are more cpu dependent thats why your friend might be getting more fps

It is luck of the Silicon lottery...

some GPU are just performs worse or better than others in the same family...

Check linustech reviews... ref 780ti golden sample beat the crap out of an unlucky gigabyte gHz edition....

I leave near cdl trading so I was looking for 780ti ref for gigabyte... guy that answered my call was snotty and didn't want to help me find which store still had stock... I wanted gigabyte because the RMA would be easier to do for me... walking distance to distro...

So I called ban leong and asked the ssame question... they quickly found a shop that had the cards in stock in funan so I bought 2 780ti asus ref...

What do you mean by luck of silicon lottery?
Why still luck one?

Even if all of the gpu cores come out from same factory/batch, each are different from each other.

Some can be better or worst than others.

Difference is overclockability how many mhz u can push. Otherwise at the same clock will perform the same

Two same DCII can perform differently from each other, even when u put same clock speeds.

My 290 and roy's 290 can have different fps in benchmarks even with same clock speeds.

I think more likely due to your hardware layout different mobo ram processor etc

Or did you try swapping cards with roy?

Is that the case?

What would be the difference then?

voltage required to run at a set clock speed and resultant heat output...

You are also forgetting the luck of the Vram as well...

just saying that OP is over thinking too much... buy a 780... any 780...

never asked OP what he will use it for... later just have 60hz 1080p laggy monitor.. then no point to 780 really...
