Dun really like the SQ timing to fly back to Singapore from fukuoka airport. Early in the morning. And no other option
Given FUK airport is just 2 metro stops from Hakata (<15 min travelling time), already quite manageableDun really like the SQ timing to fly back to Singapore from fukuoka airport. Early in the morning. And no other option
Early early need to check out hotelGiven FUK airport is just 2 metro stops from Hakata (<15 min travelling time), already quite manageable
Narita is like 70km from Shinjuku, 1 hr travel time
I presume u are referring to SQ655 departing FUK at 0955 hr.Early early need to check out hotel
Might as well go airport eatI presume u are referring to SQ655 departing FUK at 0955 hr.
If u are staying in the Hakata area, should be quite manageable to wake up at 0600 and check-out by 0700 and take the 10-15 min metro ride to the airport.
Maybe can still have the hotel buffet breakfast before checking out.![]()

I think udon open early at airport. Can’t rem if got sukiya. So it help to stay near hakata train stationMight as well go airport eat
Yup I will stay near hakata station when at fukuoka. But I am more concerned of booking hotel at yufuin, Nagasaki and kumamotoI think udon open early at airport. Can’t rem if got sukiya. So it help to stay near hakata train station
I suggest u plan in this sequenceYup I will stay near hakata station when at fukuoka. But I am more concerned of booking hotel at yufuin, Nagasaki and kumamoto
Can also stay near the stations too
Why not hakata last? Leave from fukuoka easier no? Since close to airportI suggest u plan in this sequence
yufuin - Kumamoto - hakata - nagasaki
As you need to consider transport and accommodation at yufuin, and excursions from Kumamoto. I suspect Nagasaki is easier to book as lesser tourists than fukuoka
Which month u going?
I dun mean your itinerary route sequenceWhy not hakata last? Leave from fukuoka easier no? Since close to airport
Maybe heading straight to yufuin after arriving fukuoka AirportI dun mean your itinerary route sequence
I mean teeth out the difficult part and look into the easiest later. Nagasaki if not going excursion should be easy
r u staying first day in fukuoka?
Suggest u give a little buffer on first day.Maybe heading straight to yufuin after arriving fukuoka Airport
redeem JR pass is at hakata station right?Suggest u give a little buffer on first day.
I dun rem a long transit at Fukuoka airport (bad at haneda) but u never know. Also expect long q at JR hakata if u redeeming JR pass.
if needed just leave luggage at hakata station then u can shop around
Depends on which day you want to start using jr pass. I redeem my jr pass at hakata, and got my train tickets at hakata, mojiko and Nagasakiredeem JR pass is at hakata station right?
i could schedule something similar to this like someone suggested
*1. FUK exchange JR pass > Yufuin
*2. Yufuin <> Beppu
*3. Yufuin > Nagasaki
*4. Nagasaki
*5. Nagasaki > Fukuoka
6. Fukuoka <> Kumamoto (bus/train)
7. Fukuoka <> Kitakyushu (bus/train)
8. Fukuoka (subway)
9. Departure to FUK
* JR pass
actually i dun quite like moving base from place to place, hotel to hotel when i travelDepends on which day you want to start using jr pass. I redeem my jr pass at hakata, and got my train tickets at hakata, mojiko and Nagasaki
if your transport to yufuin is not under jr pass, you can get the jr pass at yufuin but there is a risk. And the office is not always open I think till 7pm so pls double check
according to navitime, there are direct train from hakata to yufuin at around 9a~10a, takes about 2hr+.Maybe heading straight to yufuin after arriving fukuoka Airport
You need to ensure you get on to the right train schedule for the 2x transferring of trains, the whole train journey takes about 3h 23min.*3. Yufuin > Nagasaki
For me the transport duration during short winter daytime is too long. So instead of getting all the way from one end to the other, I just stop at fukuoka stay over go out and move on to Nagasaki on another dayYou need to ensure you get on to the right train schedule for the 2x transferring of trains, the whole train journey takes about 3h 23min.
Otherwise, it would be 4-5 hours of train journey with 3x transferring of trains.
