Wah ... your battery life seems very good leh.

What launcher are you using?

Thanks - when I first started with S3, my battery life was horrendous...hahah

Then I found a very good guide which I posted on this thread a while back :D

I am using Apex Launcher

Yes ... don't know why also. Anyway to find out?

My "Android OS" and "Android System" tends to be draining.

If that is the case, then you have a lot of apps running in the background or rather staying awake instead of sleeping...hahah

I use System Panel and CPU Spy to help me...

System Panel shows which apps and processes are running and how much CPU time they used etc

CPU Spy shows the amount of time your CPU spent at each clock speed - ideally it should be in deep sleep most of the time

Let me post a picture of my CPU Spy later :s13:

My battery life on lj5 is good too, hitting 5hrs plus screen time on wifi though.

I use setcpu and downclock to maximum 1ghz.

Cyanogenmod Epic 4G: Battery Optimization Guide (Cyanogenmod Epic 4G: Battery Optimization Guide)

Here you go :s13:

Done the following guide, hopefully will improve :D

Turn off haptic feedback and touch sounds

By default the phone vibrates when you touch menu options or type on the onscreen keyboard. Vibration uses a lot of power. Sounds when you touch the screen also use a little power.
Settings > Sound > scroll down to System
Dial pad touch tones - many users like it, others turn it off so it is silent when dialing the phone to avoid bothering other people.
Touch sounds - default touch sound is very subtle so many choose to keep it. You can save a little power if you turn it off.
Screen lock sound - also subtle, I personally keep it.
Vibrate on touch - strongly recommend to turn this off if you want to maximize battery life.

Hi,

Gam xia very much. Will try. Just curious ... did you enable "Power Saving" on the phone?

For me, I found that there's no difference

So being the rebel that I am, I turned it off :s13:

Yup, let us know if it works...hahah

Personally, it did wonders for me...

When I was using the S3, I would run out of battery by 2pm

After the guide, the phone could last until 10pm based on the same usual pattern :s13:

To be fair, it takes a while

More importantly, after the tweaks your phone should be in deep sleep most of the time when you are not using it...

Otherwise, you may still have apps or processes keeping your phone awake - just look at the awake versus screen in the battery chart for clues - especially if you see large chunks of awake when the screen is off...hahah

I checked the list already. I have done most of them already except "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" ... and set to "Only when plugged in".

Seems to be better .. but will monitor somemore.
