Note 2 battery life

Fully charged my note 2 to 100% and left it to standby for around 5 hours plus without any form of usage. Batt dropped to 88%.

My batt used to be able to get past a day with frequent usage of whatsapp and internet surfing. Anybody has any idea why this is happening?

check your applications, some maybe on autosync, would eat up batt life if frequent syncing

Yup, turn off auto sync, reduce the frequency of updates for weather etc...

My Note 2 managed to last 27 hours and still had 18% batt left yesterday

When the screen is off, it's really asleep - the batt graph will show a flat line

Downside is that whatsapp messages sometimes get delayed by as long as 20 minutes before the alert sounds

I dun gib a ****, I switch on every syncing including beautiful widget 30 min sync, my work and personal mail sync, gmail sync, dropbox, google tasks, smlj also on and can last me one full day.

On the other spectrum, i off most of the things and only lost 3% since 6am today.

Same here. Haha I on wifi and 4G whole day despite being on starhub limited 4G coverage. Can last till I reach hm after work too. Hahaha

Anybody know what is the round thing besides the speaker on the top? Mine is showing red color and my batt deplete quite fast when it is red.

I already off that feature but still got dull red light. On the day when I dont see that red light, my n2 can last 32hrs. Any ideas?

charging from 1% to full takes about 2hrs.

just bought NFC tags, on the option since then and it minimizes my usage from the usual 40+hrs to about 30hrs. on screen usage about 5hrs. (from 7+hrs)

using "2x battery" app.

Didn't anyone know that sg telco signal is v bad? Maybe its due to humidity. Coz u should realised that the cell tower that your phone hooks on is forever changing. If you can get hold of some apps that can print your cell tower, you will realised that at some place, your cell tower is swiching like mad. This will consitiute to battery drain. That is why a lot of people prefer to turn off the fast dormancy.

thats how you use a smartphone. my usage is like that too. woooot woot. this thing battery life is a BEAST

i also encountered that a couple of times, have to restart to clear that dull red sensor.

dull red sensor? did you enable quick glance by any chance?

Yeah that's how I use too. Haha I buy a smartphone for the smart features. how long can you phone last with everything on? Mine can only last 20+ hours less than 24hrs lol!

Anyway my batt just went dead without me knowing. Drained 16% in 2hrs. Installed the latest BetterBatteryStats but it doesn't show which app(s)is the culprit behind the battery drain after my batt went completely flat.

dull red sensor? did you enable quick glance by any chance?

already disabled smart rotation, smart stay and quick glance but still will encounter the stay on dull red sensor.

just want to find out what is the root cause that light it up.

btw, do you all have the dull red light lit up when viewing into contact, because my does even with direct call disabled.

Hey guys,

Im not to sure if its just me being paranoid or i am also not experiencing the awesome batt life that other NOTE 2 users are having.. But my phone doesnt seem to be doing that well...

I fully Charged the phone to 100%, played games and watched video till 70%.. That all seemed fine... But then i locked my phone at 3am and slept till 10am to wake up to a lost in 20% of the batt?!?!

Is this normal?? Should i go down to the service center??
