this happened to my S8 a few months back too, bought it for slightly less than 3 years. damn disappointed in Samsung, my friend also had an S8 and his screen went haywire a few months after mine.

wanted to change brand but the market only has apple, Samsung, Google and China phones. apple and Google were too expensive for their specs, China phones were not appealing, and i ended up with yet another Samsung... hopefully this will last a longer

it happened to my phone this afternoon too.
called Samsung and they asked me to send the receipt/contract & a pic of my screen. now waiting for their reply if can reply FOC.
last day of my warranty was 4 days ago
i never had a hp that 'died' so early.

SS should replace FOC if yr warranty just expired on good will basis. Previously, they replaced my note camera though warranty expired for 1 week.

This is where Samsung sucks.
I had a s9 that was hardly used and never dropped that suffered the same green screen and discolouration problem.
It happened after I updated the firmware.
It is obviously manufacturer's problem when there are so many cases reported yet Samsung refused to acknowledge and rectify the problem foc. Screw you Samsung.

I doubt I'll be getting another Samsung. They seem too big to care.

use pwm free or oled saver.. the lcd is dying.

i called them and was advised not to go down and did it through whatsapp instead. but till now no update after they acknowledge my issue.

My note 9 breakdown within 10 mths...main board, screen and batt change...fast forward 10 mths later slap with tis green screen issue...1.8k phone can oni last 10 mths...while my iphone 7 still working fine...note 20? Not even worth 500 bucks.

Almost most Samsung note and galaxy will get this screen decolour or flashing issue after update..
Its amoled screen issue, s20 and note 20 will get this soon or later as well..

It's most. Or at least the S9/Note 9 series. Reinforced the point that Samsung phones don't last beyond the 3rd year. If its Apple, they sure do mass replacement exercise.
