It's pretty amazing how pple can diss and pretend to give expert opinions on the phone without actually having and using it.

Same, why can't I base on my opinion on a demo phone alone? I touch the p6a and is immediately turned off by the jerky animation due to the 60hz screen. And worse it's for every app since it's a hardware limitation. My experience (not based on demo, so probably worth more than 2 cents' worth) with the Nothing phone, it is buttery smooth, no frame drops as far as I can tell. Maybe you tried on the older firmware which has the stuttering animation, I updated to 1.1.2 out of the box, and the experience has been pleasant.
wat is ur best sot recorded so far... 14h? 16h? 18h?

And it's because you wanted to join in on the party to cast doubts on security updates promptness, and I showed you it's updated to July security patch. In any case, I hope Nothing will push updates as promptly as they do now, they do seem to be listening to feedback and fixing issues promptly.

Not really join in the to the party to bash the phone, but is more like stating that the phone isnt worth the price tag :s13:

A similarly priced oneplus 10T performs way better for the price. And like what you mentioned, hardware limitation is something that cant be changed, sd778g+ has its limitations compared to sd8+g1

I think the doubts were casted bcos of how Carl pei answered.. at least for me that's why I have doubts.. with regards to user experience on demo set, experience was smooth.. no jitters or lags.. shutter sheet was good as well..

Ya I do agree the local price is higher than the price sold overseas.

For my use, I find snapdragon 865 enough for my needs already, anything more than that is just battery guzzling and heat generator for me. I have a s22+ also, and frankly, I can't tell much performance difference, with the Nothing phone even being a bit smoother without any tweaking. As Nothing said, it's more than just features, specs and software versions. Look at how some phone makers just brute force their way through with the super hot (literally) 8 gen 1 processor at the expense of battery life and heat. While Nothing phone manages to bring a smooth experience with inferior hardware through optimization. It just feels that good without having to worry about heat and battery life and yet able to game for hours without slow downs, which is not something I can say for the past few phones I've used.

60/120hz/auto if any? light/dark mode? 5g preferred? indoor/outdoor/well mixed?
120hz fixed. Light mode. 4g network since I don't have 5g plan. Fixed brightness mixed cellular and wifi use. For comparison with my s22+, under similar settings and usage, I typically get around 7-8 hours SOT with s22+.

Nothing phone battery life comparison video.

Bro Is the call recording function working for you? It says call recording during the call and then recording saved but I can't find any recordings.

Means if tweak to 60hz + dark mode, most likely can get 10~11h sot..

my bro s22u average 8h sot in 60hz + dark mode + 4g preferred + 80/20 indoor/outdoor ratio

my vivo x80 avr 12h sot in 60hz + dark mode + 4g preferred + 80/20 i/o ratio.
tested few days of 120hz which give me avr slightly >10h records..

All pushing for performance without optimizing heat and power consumption... I do agree with u it feels good without having to worry about such things... That is how things are supposed to be...

Need to go into the phone app and see the recent contacts you dialled. The recordings will appear under there.

Yes it's not there. I can see the call recording function but I can only set the delete parameters. I can't even set the auto recording feature. It's like it's there but not fully implemented.

Don't think got auto recording option. Can only start manual recording after the phone call is connected.

Google dialer got no auto recording. When call connected, u have to manually tap on the record button

Yes bros, thanks for your advice, but I really can't access them at all. There is no way. I've tried Google dialer on other phones and I can get to the recordings to playback the call. For the nothing phone, it's not shown anywhere. I can't get to it. That's why it's like it's half implemented.
