I read in the terms and conditions that if u want to change the flat time, u have to cancel your current application and submit a new one before the application period ends.

U can only apply for one project per launch. (I.e. for nov bto, if u apply for sk, cannot apply for tpy) but u can apply one in nov, one in jan.
I dun think there is a limit to how many u can apply a year. (Experts can confirm this?)
And for results, it was stated at application that results will be out by mid dec.

I think from HDB point of view, it's not unfair. HDB is not out to make profit (or so they claim), their main role is to provide "affordable" housing for the citizens (again, their claim) and therefore, our preference is not really their main concern here. :(

Having said that, I think sometimes, we are just too fussy and thinking from their shoes, how do u think they can accommodate to everyone's request/desire?

lol but i think i seriously cannot appreciate their "kindness" in probably "forcing" me to select a project i was never interested in to begin with...

Y 3 room tpy is not popular ah?

like most BTOs, the 3-room projects are usually unpopular due to the lack of sufficient space and bedrooms.

Say a normal family with 2 kids, a 4-room will be more decent. Kids will grow up and like to have theirs own room.

Most ppl nowadays love to go for 4-room or more.

i notice that for mature estates like ghim moh and tpy.. the 3 rooms are not over subscribed yet..

Looking at SK 3rm application, around 40% of the applicants are applying for Rivervale. Wasn't expecting such a high percentage. If only such high percentage applies to 4/5rm as well then it will be good news for those aiming for Compassvale..

SK BTO will be good given its proximity to the upcoming developments in the Punggol area but yet not overly near as you wont want to be squeezing with 100,000 household (400,000 ppl) in Punggol. Therefore SK will be an excellent choice. Also, given its proximity to Seletar Aerospace Park, it will have good rental potential and its just beside the MRT! The scope for capital appreciation is definitely there:)

Queenstown
As for Queenstown BTO, its fairly near Buona Vista MRT and the Star Vista shopping centre, many eateries and amenities near the area too. Do not forget that it is very near town, 10minutes drive or a straight bus to town. NUS and NTU are also near and therefore rental potential is there as well. The location is also facing greenery and a river and therefore it is quiet and tranquil.
:)
