Tonight having dinner and fiancee's house, not sure how to face her parents... sigh, emo emo...

Giving thanks always for all things. Ephesians 5:20

Hey Bro, I am aiming for Ping Yi Greens too but how come my total units is 328 and yours (also bedok) is at 33 total units?

I have a question, I remember when applying for SOBF, there is a column

3/4 rooms
4 rooms
5 rooms

What is the difference between
3/4 rooms and 4 rooms?

Eg: If I applied by selecting the 4 rooms column, I will be guaranteed a 4 room flat. (Subject to queue number of course)

But if I applied for 3/4 rooms, there is a chance that I might get 3 room flat. (If the 4 rooms are taken)

Am I right to intepret this way?

Usual for 1st timer is 2 tickets..With MCPS is + another 2 tickets..

CCK bird dont lay egg place(As others term it), i got 26 out of 328 for my 1st attempt during last May 13 BTO launch..

thanks for the clarification, hehe. To me, not bird don't lay egg place since it will be like 10 mins walk to my parents' house in the future... Hopefully we can become neighbors! :D

first timer + Married Child Priority Scheme (MCPS). I got 4 ballot chances instead of the usual 1, because my parents house is also in CCK. We are actually under fiancé/fiancée scheme.

I'm quite happy because it's my first time applying for a flat and based on my monitoring of the houses in CCK for 6 months, there is high chance of getting (0.6 person for 1 flat), but didn't expect the number to be quite good.

Is your 4rm too? My queue was 77 4rm cck, they only state appt start from apr. Did they mention any appt for you?

Yes, your interpretation is correct.

3rm premium and 4rm can be grouped together by them because they have the same income ceiling cap. 3rm standard must be grouped separately as they have a lower income ceiling cap.

Whether or not this is a good thing depends on how you view it. Eg. If you don't want a 3rm but a 4rm and there are choices left you will lose a chance which is bad. If you don't really mind either 3rm or 4rm than it would be good as you have more choices.

This is giving me a headache right now...

I am looking to buy only a 3rm premium, but got grouped together with 4rm. Got q no. 177 out of 315 (44 3m and 271 4rm units). Makes it hard to gauge my chances.

Am I right to say usually 4rm flats are more popular? Meaning more chances for me to get one of the 44 3rm units?

It's actually impossible to tell. Different people have different priorities (and budgets) when picking a flat.

If all those 44 3rm premium units are acceptable to you I think you have a very good chance with that number and I wouldn't worry about it. Some percentage for some reason will end up not selecting at all. It is a different matter if you are only eyeing a particular unit.

So if I apply for kallang/whampoa 3/4room, I can select 3 room as well?

Bro, at least you get a number. I applied second time under SOBF and was told my queue number too far away and hence not allocated any queue number.

Wedding coming ... age catching up (40s soon) and no house. If i apply BTO will means I only get a place at age 44-45 ...how to get a eligible loan then? sibeh sian with this kind of system.

Result for jurong west 4rm.

total unit 28.
Que no 52.

Highly chance gone case right? As i aim for the 8 unit only.

yes. I got a good number for kallang/whampoa. I am going for 4 room but it's so expensive! and the gain is so unpredictable with so high price! May consider 3 room too.

Looking at both. Damn expensive loh. Cannot predict the return. Somemore you never know when the price will drop and such a huge loan needed.
