For the folks here that applied for Kallang/Whompoa and are aiming for McNair or Bendeemer Lights.

As the supply of Mcnair and Bendeemer units is extremely low percentage of the 558 units on offer, with roughly 75-80% of the 558 units coming from Tentarem Peak. I just wanted to do a quick survey here... would you still pick the relatively unpopular Tentarem or just give up altogether?

My number is in the 400 range, definitely cannot aim the Mcnair and Bendeemer anymore. Don't know if should give up and go do resale or what.. sigh.

I'm in 400 range too.
Mcnair and Bendeemer confirm no chance and Tentarem is too inconvenient as I'm planning to give up driving after 10 yrs..
Now seriously considering resale.

:(

My boyfriend drive for a living and therefore tenteram peak is no problem for us... but the 4 rooms are also rather limited. Most of them are 3 rooms and it's really a headache for us! the location is so good we don't wish to give up our ballot number!

i am only going for Ben Lights..either 3/4. There are only approx 30 units left...i think the chances are slim even with a queue number of 70.

Not considering Tentarem Peak.

You mean to say tenteram peak's location is good? Or kallang/whampoa in general? Cos most would say the location of tenteram is quite ulu. It's rather far from any MRT station and given its proximity to the expressways; noisy as well.

Me too. ^.^

Aiming for Regalia as its nearest to mrt. The leftover at residences seems to be either blocked or facing the rubbish chute directly.

seem to have a lot of RP units too, wondering if we can get to view the units before selection.

To be frank, tenteram peak is just at the entrance of jln bahagia and therefore driving is rather accessible… I don't know about the walking distance to the mrt though. But I believe it is walkable?

My bf's sister lives at tenteram and so far no complaints from her end so i guess it's rather okay… it's windy over there!

I think different people have different preferences

It's so frustrating how the flats are grouped, especially with 3/4 room together. We cannot afford most of the 4 rooms and even some of the 3 rooms. Then there are old flats available immediately, brand new flats available immediately and also leftover BTO available in a few years. Too many different options that we were forced to apply to. The only thing they have in common is the location, which isn't that big of a deal. Should be really easy to let people choose multiple estates and also narrow down the choices between the different flats.

Bendeemer lights is not that quiet FYI as well. it is beside a heavy traffic road and close to a relatively heavy cross road junction at lavender foodcourt too.

Similar thoughts here. Those people that get a smaller queue number sure got the feeling of striking lottery and choose a flat even if they can't afford (exaggerating a little). That leaves us with little or no chance.

But with resale HDB prices falling, not sure how much gain you can get from BTO/SOBF now.
