Hi, not sure if it's the right place to post this, but read from one of the earlier posts that you all can graduate in 3.5 years instead of 4 years? Does NTU allow their students to graduate a sem or even a year ahead of when they are supposed to graduate if they can finish all their modules by that time? Then when do these people attend the convocation? Newbie here :D

One more thing, is HE191 really that tough? I thought it would be basically what you learn in JC econs or is it tougher than whatever we learn in Jc econs? Hope those who have taken it can enlighten me on this. Many thanks! =D

HE191 some questions are tough only... but the killer thing is there are many students frm over eee n sce taking this subject and thus moderation sets in. sommore haf to attend tutorials one.

some electives no nid tutorials one.. no nid calculations all that. no pt taking n pulling ur gpa down.

CPE183/CSC183 Engineers and Society - AZE

Prerequisite: -

This module is mainly segemented into two portions.

The first portion is to examine and discuss the issues and roles of a Computer Engineer/Scientist in the society, the moral and ethical issues involved in the practice of the profession, the governing bodies and the memberships of the engineering societies.

The second portion is to examine the current affairs and a study of Singapore's society and future visions. Various current issues would be brought up and a view of how Computer Engineers/Scientists fit into the society, how they could contribute to the visions and progress of Singapore, and the ways to overcome the future challenges of the industry would be discussed.

This course consist of a written paper and a presentation of current affairs that directly involves the field of Computer Engineering/Science.

The difficulty of this module is average. Those who are good in presentation may find in easier to score in the coursework portion. Those that are good in memorising facts and data, eloquent in writing, intouch with current affairs, and have a flair in debating would find it easy in answering open ended questions set in the exam paper.

They probably change the requirement every now and then. For my batch, it was 30% course work, 70% exams. CSC and CPE students should be taking this module together, at least that was the case when I took it.

CPE106 Mathematics II - SuperOrange

This module is also known as Signal and System. This is where u learn Fourier analysis, Fourier transform , Laplace transform, Convolution theorem etc. It is very Maths intensive.
Most students find first part of the module difficult to understand. Second part of the module is on Discrete-time signals and systems which is easy. That is where most students will try to score as much as possible.
yoz bro orange. Me also taking this subject this semester. Any other advise beside the one you given? It like the first chapter already very chim to understand for me. The one about discrete-time which i do some research at library without much info
