you can go look at both sce n eee website for more info

http://www.ntu.edu.sg/sce/course-ce2005.asp

http://www.ntu.edu.sg/eee/students/beng/full_time/curriculum.asp

basically CE do 50% hardware 50% software.

EEE does very little software, also EEE has different kind of specialisation. Refer to their website for more info

yah i hv alrdy seen. Sometimes website cant say much about the modules or rather the course. I would rather listen to the insider story of a student rather than reading up the words fr web. Personally, EEE seems more physics and maths and CE has more hardware knowledge(computer) and a fair share of programming

Don't worry about what u dunno.
I was from poly dip in pure IT. I have no knowledge in electronics at all. Now I am surviving very well in the course. It's up to the individual whether u are willing to make the effort to amend the short comings u have. CE has 1/2 H/W , 1/2 S/W , although some of the hardware modules require assembly programming. :s13:
Personally, I think EEE is more versatile than CE, more career options

I also have the same perception as u b4.
But CE is also quite Math intensive.

CPE103 Math 1
CPE106 Math 2
CPE204 Discrete Math
CPE301 Digital Communication

There are other modules which requires maths eg Cryptography, Computer Graphic, Digital Video , Digital signal

Oh, I think all engineering courses, most of their modules require mathematical calculations.

CPE110/CSC110 C Language Proficiency - AZE

Prerequisite: CPE102/CSC102 Introduction to Programming

This module is meant to introducethe fundamentals of C programming, the structured and function oriented paradigm of C and its ability to access lower levels of the computer hardware.
It also serves to compare and contrast the difference and similarities of an object oriented programming like Java, with C. It shall also help to familiarise with the use of C in preparation for future modules like the CPE202/CSC201, CPE205/CSC205, CPE206, CPE279.

The course is a self study module, which consist of 2 online tests for grading purposes. The tests can be done at one's own suitable time, where the first could be attempted as many times as possible, while the second could only be attempted once.

The difficulty for this module is low, with the only obstacle being the personal discipline required to do the self study.

personally, it is easier to die in CE than EEE, but then again, hard to say.

What I can tell u:
EEE has 30-40% foreigners, and not as zai as CE ones
CE has slightly more than 50% foreigners, and most of them r damn zai

EEE is quite spread out, more of electrics during year2, and during year1 (as of now), you'll need to take useless modules such as Life Sciences. but if you are a 2nd yr direct intake, thank god, u dun nid to do all the useless yr1 stuffs
CE, from the start, you really study everything that is related to computers and engineering

EEE labs are seperated from their theory counterparts, ie 1 module which is fully lab. so at any sem, u haf at most 1 lab assignment, and they'll tell u b4hand which assignment is counted
CE labs are tagged to each theory module, thus like in yr2, u may get 4 lab assignments at any 1 time. in addition, some, if not all, modules the instructor dun tell u which lab is counted as up to 50% of the whole module.

EEE is not as specialised as CE, but yes it's more versatile
CE is very specialised, but not as versatile

EEE's boy:gurl ratio currently stands at 2.78:1 (may increase)
CE's boy:gurl ratio currently stands at 4.91:1 (may increase, too)
