Thanks for the advice... but im not very good at toking anyway, i have been having some second tots recently... altho im highly interested in finance and investing all those kind of stuff, but im putting myself at a disadvantage (if i manage to get in) bcos my math is weak and all the projects from FIN is very daunting to me due to my personality... so i will probably see how i do for MA2108 first before submitting my application. anyway, in ur opinion, wat do u think of ma2108 compared to other core ma module?

If you're a Stats major per se (ie, not intending to take Applied or Financial Math major/minor), avoid MA2108. It's much worth spending more points and take MA2311, which in terms of syllabus, is similar to MA1104.

Then again, if you have taken MA1104 already, you've to suck thumb.

i did not rely much on tb.. cos almost everything are in the lect notes.. and the lecturer for my sem told us not to use any material from the tb that are not taught in the lecture which make it kind of confusing.. so i jus stick to the notes in the end. And personally i find this mod very hard cos i sux at proving too, and the proving is at a whole new lvl compared to ma1101r/1102 i think... it is one of the few mod where i step into the exam hall feeling totally unprepared and stepping out of the exam hall confirming my suspicion

IKR. Maths at this level is so much different from the jc level which now makes the latter seem too easy. Lol not trying to scare u away or sth, just hope that u can be prepared for it and put in extra effort coz it aint an easy module. How's yr 1 so far?
