Yes, normally i will not swipe my CC until see it with out own eyes.... (least u will recommend others to do so).... but base on what they have shown we are in for one hack of a ride, ampere is a monster GPU w 28b transistor, its a big leap from turin 13.6b, and translate to >2x performance improvements in 2yrs. The last time this happens was 2004, when 6600GT launch blows all the FX away. Imagine a 3070 which cost only half of 2080Ti with 2x increased performance.... that's a very compelling selling point.

3080 needs at least 750w psu with 3070 at least 650w. wow

I'm surprise at the price they are launching.. Making my last month purchase of 2070 super looks stupid.

Not as bad bah. Those who hoot 2080ti at 1.6k-2k now vomitting blood. Just see carousell, 2080ti going for 1k or below now. Will just keep dropping.

A few jokers in this forum still recommend a 1660 for 3yrs, when a 2080ti is going into a dustbin and you probably can get a used one for cheap....

there's no medicine for black skin and stupidity....:s13::s13::s13:

Two things cannot cured in this world, black and stupidity....

And if you tell them 1660 is not a long-term option they all yaya papaya about how smooth it is when in reality they just have zero standards or are playing on $120 potato monitors.

Is the 3090 the Titan equivalent ?

Yea I was wondering that also.

3090 seems like the Titan if I infer from the event.

He was talking about the Titan before he showed the 3090.

Also 3080 is the flagship so it makes further sense.

In that case 3090 is not so worth liao considering there will surely be a 3080ti.

3080 Ti will eventually sit between 3080/3080 Super and 3090. But I suspect there would be refreshes to the 3000 series in Super monikers except the 3080 Ti and 3090 which would remaining flagship cards till the next big architecture. If you don't wanna keep upgrading, I think 3080 Ti would be worth waiting for and if money is not an issue, 3090. Though 3090 would be an overkill for most based on what it is targeted for.

Thats Nvidia strategy... and it works.... a new card with more power but costs equal or less .... the choice is simple...

Its the chip process got better yield. The 3 series gpu is from samsung, not TMSC.
