Steve: "Marketing BS"
On the plus side, he was really impressed with the cooler.
Just 27% increase in 4K gaming performance compared to 4090. Really not worth upgrading for existing 4090 owners. Horrible gen on gen performance considering the jump from 3090 to 4090 was a staggering 73% uplift in performance.
Better get MSI boards with the extra 8-pin supplementary power socket at the bottom of their mobos.I think the bigger problem is the power consumption vs. the RTX 4090. I wonder how many videos of melted RTX 5090 connector we are going to see

finally some objective info ....
What you guys see in the benchmark is full on RT and ULTRA @ 4K which is not realistic.
Most people going to tweak some settings to play at a higher FPS to get a better experience.
Nobody plays games at 60 FPS on a $5000 setup rofl.
Also, 5090 with 7800X3D is stupid, linustechtips CPU is bottlenecking in some test, no idea what the f he is doing when everyone else is using 9800X3D.
Maybe Linus aiming for consistency after having previously tested other GPUs with his 7800X3D?
No time to retest (or lazy) with the 9800X3D ... LOL
wait til you see Japanese tech journalist review 5090 with 14900K running DDR5 5600C40 LOLWhat you guys see in the benchmark is full on RT and ULTRA @ 4K which is not realistic.
