Just yesterday, I have updated my early Dec-2015 Nvidia Shield K1 to the latest official Marshmallow ROM. Not rooted. No statistic to support, but I feel that the battery life is improved. For me, it is probably from screen-on time 2 hours to 2½ hours as I play games and watch videos using VLC Player.

Performance wise, maybe slightly smoother. Again, no statistic to support.

seems to lag a little in my case. often an application says "isn't responding. do you want to close it". im thinking whether to do a factory reset to see if it helps. im not able to install facebook too. its stucked in 'installing' mode.

think a factory reset and clear cache shld help?

i feel it's alot better after MM update. but no hard numbers to prove though

im suspecting its due to formatting my sd card as internal memory too. will try format it as a portable storage and try using it again.

I too format the SD as internal storage. The tablet do get warm up during gaming. But I don't own the tablet long enough to justify this. How to format it back to external storage? I find the battery drop quite fast when I play game with it and game sometimes like will hang for a while then continue like that.

The battery life is good enough for pdf and surfing.
Gaming wise will be abit more taxing.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Think I shall go ahead with the purchase. Just nice sandisk 128gb price dropped to US39.99 .

By the way is it worth hooting the original Nvidia cover? Looks good for screen protection but the back will be bare?!

Don't know why my shield tablet battery level can drop from 40+ % to red until cannot turn on the screen overnight. The charging up is very slow also. I need to turn it off in order to get it charge up.

depend if u are the type that take care of ur things or just wanna abuse it.

quality is good I got to say no doubt.

I'm the later so no case for me.. it's not cheap too.
