If i make 2 credit card payment belonging to the same bank ie. Same statement but diff card number is consider 1 or 2 online transactions

Hi mdax23

That's definitely counted as 2 different bill payments. Just 1 more bill payment to perform, to earn yourself the bonus interest!

i think prima facie, it's plausible

maybe can ask the OCBC staff it that works?

Hi there

The Save Bonus interest is paid on the incremental balance. As long as we see there's an increase in your monthly average balance from the previous month's, the bonus interest will be paid to your 360 account

hi all, anyone with the salary code "SAL"?

can i check if that code allows for the 1.2% salary credit IR?

Hi Tornesoul

If companies employ GIRO to credit their employee salaries, the normal description will appear as "GIRO Salary". There are other variations, but the word GIRO will usually appear.

It's best to check directly with your HR department, if they are crediting your pay by any other means. To earn the bonus interest, only salaries credited by GIRO will be eligible.

Ocbc should change salary credit to ocbc is 0.5%.
Spend $500 get 1%.

Also many people still credit to ocbc :)

Personally I am leaning towards the new OCBC 360 compared to UOB One but having to reset everything when a particular bank comes up with a better promo is troublesome.

Say if XXX bank in future comes up with a better package, I wonder what is the % of people that will really exit their existing relationship and jump onto the other bandwagon for better rates.

problem is the banks keep changing rules. we wan simple life and to make THEIR life simple also cannot. make rules so complicated and waste manpower on phone banking.

currently i giro 3 uob cards to uob, telco to frank, some of them i had cash rewards with maybank, and the rest i pay via ocbc internet banking. unfortunately anz iras tax payment is now very unattractive and most of the insurances i have cannot be paid via credit card or had no benefits to do so (aka manhattan).

salary wise i had jumped from multiplier to 360. if multiplier ups its game, i will reconsider, but that will mean at the very least up to 2.7% pa on cashflow above 20k, but probably very unlikely.

For DBS multiplier, how does the system works? I need to do banking of min $7,500 to get the interest. How does one do 'banking' in this case? Move the money from DBS multiplier to another acct then back to DBS multiplier to lock in on the interest?

salary crediting, cc spend, insurance, home loan > 7500.
not by shifting sum in and out.

earn interest of up to 50k.
