i did a recurring OCBC 365 cc payment for my hp and internet bill.. if manage to hit $600/mth can get 3% cashback.

but of course, if got variable charge that you unsure of (like eg, i got additional $100+ roaming charge before i did recurring payment, lucky can waive off :D), then once your cc pay, then LL already.

I meant the actual GIRO paid from ocbc 360 account no rebate.

Hi OCBC

i currently have slightly more than $10k in my 365 a/c. suppose i top this up to the cap of $60k, credit my pay, make 3 bill payments and spend more than $500 (is this part of the 3 bills or separate).

based on the above, your online calculator indicates and avg of $115/mth of extra interest. correct?

but now that the next month will exceed the $60k base, would this cap the interest earned?

Thanks :)

Hi nivlac9,

Thank you for getting in touch.

The Payment bonus interest is different from the Credit Card Spend bonus interest and their requirements are separate.

The interest calculator is calculated based on 31-days-in-a-month basis and assuming an average daily balance of $60,000. If there are movements of funds in/out of the account, the interest would vary.

The Salary Credit, Payment and Credit Card spend bonus is subject to a cap on the first $60,000 in the account.

You will earn a base interest of 0.05% per year on your entire account balance and the Save Bonus is given on incremental account balance of up to S$1,000,000.

You may find out more about the 360 Account here as well http://www.ocbc.com/personal-banking/accounts/360-account.html

Can OCBC include monthly average data in ibanking pls?

Hi compro_1975,

Thank you for your feedback. Currently, due to system limitations, iBanking will not be able to include monthly average data, but we will be sure to share this with the relevant department.

Hi wakui00,

You will be able to retrieve your access code online. Do look under "Forgot your Access Code or PIN" on this page: http://www.ocbc.com/personal-bankin...-banking-login.html?#forget-accesscode-or-pin

If you are still unable to retrieve your access code, do drop us a PM with your contact details.

We will arrange for our service executive to call and assist.

OCBC 360

Hi OCBC
I got some questions:

1. I heard some people had issues with the transaction code for their salary not being listed as "GIRO - SALARY". Is that issue still around?

2. If I pay my OCBC credit card, does that count for the 'Pay any 3 bills'?

3. Are subscriptions to Straits Times, conservancy payments charged to my OCBC credit card considered valid?

Thanks

hmmmm, if it is system limitation, then how would ocbc know there is an increase or decrease in my daily balance?

Many guys have switched out of 360 & it's Frank card.

Ocbc is quite full these days. There are still hungry banks around.

It is not difficult to calculate your Average Daily Balance. Download your statement and export into Excel. Clean up some of your data and use the average function.

I have done this exercise before when I was holding multiple Xtrasavers accounts. I need to maintain 6k ADB in a month. If below 6k, I will not get benefits from this card.

my account is my current account, so daily has a few transaction... since the bonus interest is needed by the calculation, it would be easy for the bank to share the data from an engineer's point of view.... i set a monthly transfer out to just keep 60k in this account.... the remainder goes to citi and standard, but if fall be 60k i dun max this account well so i wanna monitor easily

As an engineer you can try to think of a solution, isn't it?

Why don't you maintain above 60k every day? If you need to withdraw $500, you top up $500 by end of the day.

Please do not throw our engineers' face. It should be from a "lazy person's point of view".

yes, it would be easy for the bank to do that, and it is the bank's responsibility to do that, not yours. however, there is nothing much u can do if the bank refuse to do so. and there are advantages to the bank for them not to show your adb, and all or none of the bank are doing it right now, so things are not likely to change.

anyway, for ocbc, use value date for incoming funds, use transaction date for outgoing funds, then follow the other forumer's input and use average function, or simply add them and divide by 30 or 31.

Just to add on, some of us have a number of saving accounts. I can't afford to remember these transaction or value date requirements thing. A simple solution to this problem is to

1) Maintain slightly more than the capped interest rate. ie $60,100 for OCBC360
2) If you have to withdraw $1k, deposit back $1k as early as possible before end of the day. Actually, why don't you just use other low interest rate bank accounts to fund daily necessities?

Hi,

1. Salary transaction codes are not decided by OCBC. You will have to check with your company on how they categorise their salary crediting.

2. Yes, paying for your OCBC credit card will count towards the Payment bonus of the 360 account.

3. Are you asking about this in terms of the 360 account's Payment bonus interest? You will only be able to earn the bonus interest when paying any 3 bills from your 360 account, and not your credit card.
