if i had two ocbc credit cards, and i used one bank account to pay for two of them, is that considered as 1 bill or 2 bill?

if i had two ocbc credit cards, and i used two bank accounts to pay, one account to one cc, is that considered as 1 bill per account?

if i had one ocbc credit card, and i used one bank account to pay for it in the month, and if i had further use of the card, can i used another bank account to clear the bill, counting as 2 bill for 2 accounts in the same month?

Haha was not clear in my post. I mean does Greg or Shereen each answer specific types of question? Cos Becks directed his question to Greg and edwin to shereen.

A friend was not able to open a 360 account because of previous bad record dispute, whereby OCBC took all deposits from a savings account to offset the interests incurred, and then closed the account even though the interests were still outstanding.

Best interpreted as "You, Nasty customer, World's Strongest Bank doesn't want. Just pay what you have and you can go elsewhere."

Better don't play play with OCBC.

All questions should be answered by Shereen. Greg like no more already. Too stressful answering same old questions again and again?

Hi

Here's some answers that could clarify:

1. Yes, that is considered as 2 unique bill payments. So you only need to fulfill 1 more bill payment
2. That would be considered 1 unique bill payment for each of the 360 account
3. That again would be 1 unique bill payment for each of the 360 account.

To summarise, if you made 5 bill payments to the same credit card, from 1 360 account. That would only be counted as 1 unique bill payment

It has to be different card numbers

Hi OCBC Greg, 2 questions.

1. i need to provide branch name/branch code for my 360 account. What's the number for this?

2. "only direct salary credits through GIRO with the description "GIRO – SALARY" in your statements will qualify for this bonus." <--- DO i really need to do this? I dont think my HR will be so helpful. Or is it just any salary transferred via GIRO will be ok?

Hi there!

The first 3 digits of your OCBC account number is the branch code. Please use this format when you're intending to transfer funds into the account
(eg. 555-XXXXXX-001)

Bank Code: 7339
Branch Code: 555
Account Number: XXXXXX001

To be eligible, the salary will have to be credited in via GIRO, with a description that reads GIRO - Salary. We do accept certain variations like GIRO SAL

hi ocbc,

i open an account on 15 Sep 2014 and deposited 100k and i managed only to achieve the paying of 3 bills. Since the account is opened on 15th, my average daily balance for Sep is 50k [(100k *15 days + 0 *15days)/30 days]. How much bonus interest will I get for Sep, $38 or $19

Hi

We'll certainly need to do a check into your account, to confirm which bonus interests did you qualify for

Please do leave us a PM with your contact details!

1. Recurring bills counted? Don't wish to keep track of the bill payments monthly.

2. Minimum payment to each bill?

Tks in advanced!

Hi!

Are you referring to the recurring bill payments which you set up on your OCBC Internet banking?

Certainly, they are eligible. And there is no minimum sum required, so minimum payments to your credit cards are eligible as well

How many ocbc 360 single and joint accounts are possible for two individuals - A and B? For the bonus interest, are there restrictions for the four following accounts?

A, AB, BA, B

Is there a daily average and fall below fee? Is there an early closure penalty of 6 months and how much is that?

u can only open A, BA, CA, DA, etc a/cs, each person can only have one a/c as primary account holder n multiple a/cs as secondary a/c holder.

min mthly balance is 3k n fall below fee is $2 per mth waived for first yr

Hi Shereen,

The code on my DBS transaction history for my salary is simply "SAL". Can I check if that qualifies me for the salary 1% requirement?

just like to clarify, could I:

pay 3 different telco bills which amounts to >$400, using an OCBC CC,

and later use online banking to pay for these credit card charges.

will these steps fulfill the criteria for 2% bonus interest?

Three (or any number of) bills > $400 using an OCBC CC qualifies 1%.

Paying that ONE card fees via iBanking is paying ONE bill. So not qualify another 1% yet.

What to do ?

Get 3 OCBC credit cards. Use them (including paying telco bills) for > $400. 1%.

Pay the bills of THREE credit cards via iBanking. 1%.

not necessary that way.
the 3 bills can include example like your giro payment for utilities bill, another bill for you telco bills and lastly your credit card bills too.

i used the examples for utilities and and telco bills as they are the most commonly bills we can use to qualify for the 1%.

This sounds clever! So it really works or just guessing? :s12:
