shouldn't i receive it only next month with the Salary/Giro/CC bonus? how come instantly i get the "Save Bonus". Also, this save bonus is monthly or u can only get it once a year? i read the website but still blur blur.

apr: 0
may: open account
jun: see if u got add in money, aka overall increment

save bonus given early jun = may (no of days since acc open) - apr (0). early jul = jun - may so on and so on. u will get it every month, if there is monthly increment from previous month.

heard many times ocbc dun waive, even first late payment.

Geez. Why other banks can do it and not OCBC. Somemore I never receive the statements leh.

Considering to close my 360 account, credit cards and trading accounts with OCBC. Interests from 360 account will be used for late fees charges.

For the 360 account, is there a cap on the Salary and Payment bonus?
I used the online calculator and the cap seems to be $60,000 for interest of $61.15 for salary bonus.
Even if you increase to $100,000 the interest is still $61.15.

I looked through the terms and conditions and there's no mention of this.

Anyone got information on this?

hahaha, of course got cap lah, and u got it 60k. But u can topup above the previous mth's average balance to get 1% every mth on the incremental amt

ocbc is more conservative in management, things follow rules more stringently. if economic crash and foreigners run away, ocbc is least likely to get hit by bad debts.

i will support them as long as their rates are competitive. in terms of stupid rules, ocbc had it less than uob. their ib infrastructure is still the best. cc benefits still ok, but exclusion criteria for frank need to be more clearcut. not that they are really that good, but most banks are really quite bad.

Agree with you that OCBC's IB is much better than other local banks. But waivers of late fees and interest charges, provided that the previous and current statements are settled, do not increase it's exposure to bad debts. If I did not receive the previous statements for my OCBC credit cards (OCBC 360 & Frank), I don't think it's my sole responsibility to pay the penalty.

I am going to give OCBC a call again to appeal. If outcome is not what I desired, time to move to UOB One account and Kay Hian. :frosty:

u talking about Frank cc? Pay with Frank gets u 0.5%, adds to $500 min spend, then u qualify for 0.5% bonus interest on 360, hahaha

Yes. Frank. But their website say pay town council not entitled to 0.5% rebates for Frank. As long as still count towards $500 spending, I'm ok.

I got one more qn.

In April, I made 3 online transactions.
1) Tiger Airways - $700
2) Agoda - $400
3) Agodo - $600

Then I got my rebates $63.50.

But in May, Agoda give me refund $100 for the 3rd transaction. Then this month, OCBC took back $6 from me. Shouldn't it be $0.50 only since I was only entitled to 0.5% rebates for the 3rd transaction as I already exceeded $1k online purchase?

Could you enlighten me on where you got this info from? Eg link to where you read this from, or copy-paste the relevant sentences here

OCBC would never know the $100 refund is for which transaction or for which month. You can try to appeal but in my opinion the chances are slim

ocbc only list exclusions for 6% rebate, all charges still count towards $500 spend and get 0.5% rebate, u must be interpreting it wrongly, the tnc was revised since Dec 2014, no announcement of any subsequent changes, hahaha
