Hi DG

I have applied for OCBC Titanium Rewards Cards (Blue and Pink) for 3 times since mid-March till today, and have been rejected all 3 times, despite meeting the income requirements and having a Credit Bureau score of AA.

Called CSO multiple times, they are equally puzzled but couldn't share with me the reason for rejection. So frustrating cos requirements all met already, what else does OCBC want me to do? If didn't fulfill any requirements just inform ma, why so not transparent one?

Also, I realized OCBC started rejecting me ever since I closed my 360 account. To close off that gap, I have re-opened my 360 account today and funded it. Do you think that could be the reason?

We are sorry to learn of your unsuccessful credit card application.

Besides credit review, there are other factors that the bank takes into consideration when reviewing a credit card application. We are sorry, but we won't be able to reveal what these factors are, and the reasons for unsuccessful applications.

Your application/appeals would have been thoroughly reviewed before an outcome was given.

You may wish to consider applying for a secured credit card ($10,000 lien required), but do note that it will be subject to review and approval as well.

I've also closed off my ocbc360 late last year but was able to get the OCBC TR card. Hence I believe it was not the reason for the rejection.

Dear Ocbc, can i check if buying laptop on qoo gets 10x points, and how long will the 9x reward points show?

Hi KeNshEz,

Yes, purchasing of laptop on Qoo10 will be eligible for 10X OCBC$.
The additional 9X OCBC$ will be credited by the end of the following month.

Additional OCBC$ is given based on the posted date.
Some merchants may take up to 7 days to post the transaction.

For eg. You had made the purchase at the end of March, and the transaction was only posted by the merchant in April. The 9X OCBC$ will be credited by the end of May.

We note that you will be using your UOB card in the meantime. However, should you wish to use your Titanium Rewards card instead, please do drop us a PM with your overseas number, and system registered Singapore number as well.

Hi OCBC, I have made a purchase at Adidas on 28/02/18. However I believe the x10 pts was not adjusted based on the statement dated 01/04/18. Kindly advise.

it seems adidas not considered online shopping/shoes, i also buy but using UOB PPV and not get 10x UNI$ but i still ask them to adjust it

Adidas will not be given 10X OCBC$ as it is classified under a sports-related category.

Just a curious question .
How many people will continue to use the card after exhausting 120k miles a year to continue earning 0.4 miles a dollar till the next card birthday ?


I will because 10x points (2 cards max $12k spending each) will only reach 240k miles. OCBC redemptions are in blocks. The 10x spending is only till year end 2018 which is also about the time my annual limit gets reset.

After the 10X spending over ... I think this card should be pretty useless Liao. Earning 0.4 milesnper dollar is slow like crap .
