Dear All,

I have a tuner as followed:

.Fully compliant with ETSI EN 302 755 ( DVB-T2 ) /ETSIEN 302 744(DVB-T2) standard
2.Frequency Range: VHF 174~230MHz, UHF 470~862MHzRemarks:
3.Special design for car using,Support voltage: DC+10V~25V
4.Support HDMI 1.3 (1080P),YPbPr CVBS output And L/R audio output
5.Support PAL/NTSC auto conversion
6.Support MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264 decoder (up to 1920x1080P)
7.Support Audio decoder MPEG/AAC/WMA/AC3
8. Super fast hardware decoding of JPEG picture
9. Small windows screen picture with EPG graphic menu
10.Auto/Manual channel search function
11. DVB subtitling ETSI 300473 compliant and OSD teletext
12. EPG (Electronic Program Guide) with now and next and 7 days events
13. Supports multiple OSD languages menu :English/ Czech/Danish//Spanish//Greek//Franch//Dutch//Italian//Portuguese//Spanish//Russian. etc
14. USB2.0 host support upgrade, PVR, timeshifting and media play with U-FLASH or HDD
15. Standby consumption less than 0.85W (True Standby)

It should recieved singapore channel right.I could get 80% strength and 65% quality using manual search but no channel found. Any idea why?

The above specs seems similar to Fully compliant with ETSI EN 302 755 ( DVB T2 ) /ETSIEN 302 744(DVB T2) standard TV Receiver Box DVB T 2 Tuner-in TV-Tuners from Automobiles & Motorcycles on Aliexpress.com :D

I may be wrong....
EN 302 755 = DVB-T2
EN 302 307 = DVB-S2
EN 302 583 = DVB-SH
EN 300 744 = DVB-T

No experience with it. May work for DVB-T channels.
Can try doing outdoors and with a better anternna?
Think the transmitting station is in Bukit Batok,, so... :s8:

Product worked as described, the PAD TV HD app is free and supports both HD and SD digital broadcasts. Good follow thru by sales rep also.

May refer to DVB-T channels only and not DVB-T2, so..... :s11:
Price is us$44 with shipping by DHL, which means arrival within 3 to 6 days.

So far saw on buydvd or ebay it is like US$200 or thereabout, +/-$1 or $2.

How izzit har? Was thinking of getting one and putting it in my spouse's desktop. This way, once her monitor plonks out and I can (finally) get a darned 27" Full HD monitor to replace that old 17".... :s12:

It's not bad to use. However currently I seem to have an issue with the card where it sometimes fail to record DVB-C channels... might be a hardware problem with the card that I may be following up with RMA.

As for the price, try to wait until its USD179.99 price is available again, if u are not in a hurry. However, do note that the card sold may not be DVB-T2 1.3.1 compliant (required to tune to Singapore DVB-T2 channels. But it's no problem to do an RMA to their Shenzhen centre for a DVB-T2 1.3.1 compliant one cos at that price (USD179.99), even if including the postage to China by sending in the card (maybe around SGD6 or 7 by SingPost, depending on how compact/small u pack it), it's worth it.

Managed to test again using the "extendable" antenna near windows and managed to receive 8 Singapore Channels, but all with "SD" icon, is that DVB-T2? Sorry I very the noob. :(

Aiyo, your picture top right label is 5 HD. So what do your think? :D
The SD label maybe stands for SD card, or as it is dimmed means is not SD quality

We have 7 DVB-T2 (4 HD + 3 SD which are Okto, CNA, Ch U) and 4 DVB-T (5,8,CNA + 5 HD) channels for Singapore.
Which should mean that PT360 can receive DVB-T and DVB-T2 channels.
My guess is that you did not get the DVB-T2 SD channels (Okto, CNA, Ch U)

Guess depends on location. Which part of Singapore are you at?

I was comparing PT360 VS T230, and the specs of the PT360 do not explicitly state support for DVB-T2 v1.3.1 which is a requirement for SG broadcasts.

PT360:

T230:

The Aliexpress page says to choose PT360 if you're staying in SG, but we all know how sales people are generally clueless when it comes to understanding technical specs.

The only way for you to confirm is to bring it to somewhere that can receive DVB-T2 and try it out there. If it does not work there, then you know for sure the PT360 cannot work in SG and you have to contact the seller for a refund / swap to another model that works here.

At least someone has confirmed DVB-T2 works. A lot will depend on location and antenna, the bundled antenna may not be powerful enough.

For coverage, can refer to map at MediaCorp is going fully digital

rollout_map3.jpg

My area just beside Clementi which is covered, and will get coverage 3Q-4Q 2014. :o

Taken from the net :

HDTV is part of several standards incorporated in digital television or DTV. Basically, DTV is composed of three separate standards:

HDTV 1080 (1080 lines of resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio)
HDTV 720 (720 lines of resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio)
SDTV (480 lines of resolution, 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio)

I did received CNA, OKTO and channel U, all together 8 channels. But channel 8 is lagging not sure if it due to my phone being too slow.

I was at Suntec... :)

Ugh!! My PT360 and T230 both arrived today but i missed the postman's knock on the door bec my hifi was on quite loud! Only realised when i saw the registered article collection slip under the door. Hope i can collect tomorrow - cant wait to test them out although i am not too hopeful since my area is not due until 3rd & 4th qtr this year.

Got to say that aliexpress is really fast - i ordered on 25-Aug and chose the free shipping option and it has only taken around 2 weeks door-to-door. Quite impressed!

i have purchase my geniatech pt-360 DVB-T2 but can't watch TV at all on my android device, i purchase 2 and both cant work.

it seems someone can watch it, care to teach me how? I already do scan for singapore frequency but nothing show up.

Hi innosia,

I just got my pt360 n its working for me. I stay near tiong bahru mkt so its not far from yr outram pk place. But i noticed that the app (or the hardware) can be very erratic. When i first tried outdoors using the tiny loop antenna i got nothing. Then i tried at home placing the extendable antenna near the window facing north-East n managed to receive all the free to air channels. Problem is, the app crashes easily n it doesn't seem to remember my stored favourites. Seems like each time i exit and restart the app, i need to do a fresh scan!I And when i rescan sometimes i get nothing again! Hopefully they will iron out the software bugs

It's not a review... I will just write a few sentences.

Yes, as of yesterday 28 August 2014, StarHub started broadcasting 3 more FTA HD channels for CH8, Suria, Vasantham. So coupled with the already broadcasting CH5 (HD) and the other SD channels, StarHub now has the entire set of digital channels via DVB-C, same as the over the air DVB-T2.

But there are some subtle differences. For example, the CH5 (HD) on StarHub uses hard subs (meaning subtitles is embedded and cannot be turned off) and the DVB-T2 one can. But there is no issue for the DVB-C ones released on 28 August, cos CH8, Suria and Vasantham are using soft subs, same as the DVB-T2 ones.

Another subtle difference is in the video format encoding, which may or may not be of relevance to us.

H264 or MPEG2?
